Global Marketing Center Leader
LOCATION
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to a close office); Global Role with flexibility in primary location.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; advanced marketing experience; proficient leadership experience; additional qualifications preferred include experience with global commercial leadership, agile leadership, analytical skills, and customer-facing roles.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
As a Global Marketing Center Leader at 3M, you will lead marketing transformation and capabilities development, ensuring customer-centric strategies and collaboration across diverse teams to drive commercial opportunities and enhance brand alignment.
As a(n) Global Marketing Center Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Develop and execute a plan that builds TEBG group-level marketing capabilities, including leadership of end-to-end marketing transformation for the group.
- Establish and implement global standards and guidelines (incl. tools, best practices, and procedures) with area marketing centers, vertical, and product platform marketing teams.
- Provide thought leadership, subject matter expertise, tools, and training to area marketing centers and vertical marketing teams.
- Create BG-wide marketing and GTM plans and campaign briefs to inform content creation.
- Develop, embed and expand marketing capabilities within the business as appropriate, to maximize value and move with speed.
- Drive white space analyses to identify new commercial opportunities aligned to TEBG priorities
- Lead Demand Generation definition, management and measurement for TEBG (e.g. leads, opportunities, POS) in collaboration with the Global Commercial Operations Center.
- Drive customer-centric thinking across marketing and ensure end users have relevant and differentiated customer experience
- Conduct external analysis (i.e., trends, value chain, situation analysis, competitive intelligence) tied to vertical, channel and end user strategy
- Lead Product Marketing activation support through strong collaboration with Product Platform organizations, providing specialized marketing capabilities such as: digital and integrated marketing, brand, content, insights, analytics, NPI, marketing communications, price, channel and vertical
- Lead Vertical Marketing and Channel activation support through strong collaboration with Vertical Business organizations and Area Channel teams to assess opportunities for priority and core verticals
- Create and lead a community of practice to build capabilities for marketing across the enterprise
- Collaborate on marketing calendar alignment, vertical priorities, deliverables in collaboration with Vertical and Product organizations
- Align on 3M brand strategy, 3M portfolio of brands strategy, and brand architecture and hierarchy in partnership with TEBG, Verticals, Product Platforms, and 3M Public/Corporate Affairs
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (completed and verified prior to start)
- Advanced experience in marketing in a private, public, government or military environment
- Proficient leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, execute and deliver as part of a global commercial leadership team, frequently without direct ownership of all day-to-day operational resource
- Experience integrating tactics (data, insights, technology, content, people, process) into an end to end view of customer to design plans and organize teams
- Ability to drive a customer obsessed culture while building employee-obsessed efforts to inspire the team
- Change leader, able to activate engagement and culture shift
- Agile leader, able to adapt approaches in dynamic environments to deliver the right outcomes
- Experience managing end to end marketing programs that apply to customers in both a key-account approach and mid- longtail management requiring diversified strategies.
- Experience with leading teams to adopt digital tools, technology, and growing related skills
- Analytical skills to evaluate data and use it to make decisions
- Understanding of market trends and adaptability to follow those trends
- Problem-solving and customer service skills
- Demonstrated collaborative approach aligning teams to achieve business goals
- Demonstrated marketing capabilities and leadership across strategy, planning and execution
- Customer facing experience preferred in previous roles
