Overview
You are the Global Marketing Community Strategist, Consumer Audience, responsible for designing platforms and partnerships to unite people living with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). You will direct community-building strategies that educate, support and connect – on and offline. You harness the power of social media to bring people together. You possess in-depth, expert knowledge of social media, digital communities, patient advocacy and engagement, and healthcare marketing. You recognize that once our community’s emotional and educational needs are met, we become empowered and inspired to take positive actions – leading to better health behaviors and increased quality of life.
As a creative thinker, you understand how to keep your on- and off-line audience riveted with authenticity, motivating insights and relatable storytelling. Your mission is to deeply understand the challenges of living with OSA while helping people partner with their healthcare teams through education and guidance. You know how to create a bridge between people’s health challenges and the human side of the healthcare business by infusing your company values, brand culture and mission to build a deeper, more personal connection with your audience.

Let’s talk about the role
- Develop a deep understanding of the OSA consumer audience and their needs for connectivity given challenges of living with chronic sleep apnea
- Translate this intimate consumer knowledge to tangible and actionable community communications and programming, compelling people to take action while empowering to move forward in pursuit of better health
- Design platforms/partnerships to connect people living with OSA for education, support and ultimately, CPAP therapy – creating measurable impact on the business
- Lead our community engagement strategy and identify how to partner with patient interest groups to ensure the organizations and its members are informed of the latest
- Partner with digital marketing, creative, and other cross-function teams to deliver comprehensive, integrated, and compliant community strategies to drive education, engagement, acquisition, relationships, word-of-mouth, and improve overall adoption while driving internal process improvements
- Lead project team to achieve milestones and objectives by tapping into emotions with relatable people stories and procured user-generated content to inspire prospective CPAP users to advocate for their healthcare needs along the diagnosis and treatment continuum
- Grow and foster community engagement to increase number of people prescribed PAP therapy and cultivate brand advocates
- Collaborate in creating and optimizing inspiring creative, community growth and management, real-time responses, relevant partner content, and audience engagement for online communities
- Inspire regional teams to adopt proposed community-building strategies while enabling leads to build country/region-specific community programming
- Champion the voice of the consumer across the entire business, ensuring that our organizational empathy and understanding of this audience is progressing at a pace that matches the growth potential of this new area for ResMed
- Support consumer marketing efforts for pilots and experimentation in new areas within innovation and transformation teams including emerging areas and technologies, segments and partnerships

Let’s Talk About You
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in consumer marketing, preferably in the healthcare sector
- Deep consumer audience understanding along with behavioral changing know-how
- Understanding of content marketing strategy and how to drive measurable impact
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, simply and persuasively
- Experience driving consumer engagement through partnerships and communities, both online and offline
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully navigating cross-functional teams
- Experience in global markets preferred, with an understanding of diverse market dynamics and customer needs

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $113,000 - $141,000 USD .
