SHORT DESCRIPTION
Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Director to create and manage digital and print marketing materials while ensuring compliance with strategic corporate branding guidelines.
This position works closely with the Marketing Communications Director to ensure that marketing materials meet PHPs strategic corporate image and identity guidelines. This individual has primary responsibility for updating PHPs website, and for production of graphic design and computer-generated media materials for special and company-sponsored events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares well-developed and designed files for all corporate print and digital assets, including banner ads, brochures, invitations, marketing flyers, direct mail, print advertisements, logos, trade show exhibits, etc.
- Creates and updates sales and enrollment forms and associated documentation as required for state and regulatory filings.
- Contributes ideas and design artwork to the overall brief in the initial concept phase.
- Creates designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
- Supports digital content calendar with graphic and design assets.
- Builds, organizes, and maintains promotional and informational email campaigns to support marketing initiatives for members, employers, and brokers.
- Responsible for generating email send reports, as needed, and for maintaining email send lists within our email platforms.
- Maintains innovative and creative corporate website while continuing to propose ways for improvement, maintaining monthly updates on same.
- Assists the Marketing Communications Director in planning and implementing PHPs advertising and promotion activities. This could include copywriting, designing, proper layout, and production of promotional materials to be used in such campaigns.
- In conjunction with the Marketing Communications Director, works to ensure that all marketing communication materials meet PHPs strategic corporate image and identity guidelines, while meeting sales requirements and specifications.
- Catalogs, manages, and maintains all graphic marketing communication documents and materials.
- Responsible for advanced photography and video editing work as needed for corporate events.
Organizational Level: This position reports directly to the Marketing Communications Director, and has no direct reports.
Accountability: This position has primary responsibility for updating and managing PHPs website and social media accounts, as well as internal graphic design, production, and print vendor management of a wide-range of corporate image and marketing materials. The position is accountable for meeting expectations and standards in meeting deadlines, maintaining high quality information, and the production of required materials and documentation. The position must work effectively with all levels of staff (both internal and external). The position has no financial budget responsibility.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and accurately to all levels, including internal and external customers.
- Thorough understanding of material costs and time limits.
- Ability to consistently produce a high volume of quality work, meet tight deadlines and follow-up with clients to complete assignments on time.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent analytic thinking and creative problem-solving skills for visual information design.
- Must be a supportive team member, along with the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
- Must be a deadline-driven individual with excellent proofreading skills.
- Proficiency with state-of-the-art software to produce accurate and innovative graphic design (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Requires strong writing and reporting skills.
- Must display creativity with a high commitment to quality.
- Ability to assume greater responsibility with tenure in the position.

An Associates Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Commercial Graphics or a related field. Three to five (3-5) years of comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles, including a wide variety of media and production methods including digital assets. Demonstrated excellence in graphic design, typography, color sense and paper selection and a high degree of innovation through the professional portfolio.
