Freestone is a luxury lake and golf club encompassing the largest privately owned lake in the United States. Set upon 5,000 acres of open water, rolling hills and Savannah Post Oaks, Freestone provides a generational retreat for family and friends halfway between Dallas and Houston. The breathtaking property provides water-front golf at a championship level, trophy bass fishing, boating without public access, and all of the activities and amenities a family should expect from a world-class, private resort.


Position Summary
: (this position will primarily operate in Fairfield with some projects potentially in Dallas)

We are looking for an entry level Graphic Designer to support the Freestone Lake and Golf Club mission of curating and sustaining a luxury club life experience for members. This role encompasses responsibilities in both marketing and graphic designing and ensures the brand is consistent throughout all visual presentations. The Graphic Designer will interact with surveyors, agronomists, company management and club members. The Graphic Designer plays a critical role in the Freestone Golf Club brand and requires exceptional collaboration skills, creativity, resiliency, and ability to take a vision to presentation.


Qualifications:

  • knowledge of industry-standard design software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suites, InVision, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver) to create logos, designs, and projects
  • knowledge of content management systems for website design
  • displays attention to detail and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • ability to communicate design proposals and how it supports the company’s vision and mission
  • possesses’ a portfolio of project achievements (entry-level may present academic projects)
  • strong communication skills, oral and written
  • displays an understanding or can easily adapt to the protocol and decorum for a luxury resort environment
  • works well independently and as a member of a team
  • organizes and tracks tasks; follows through on expectations
  • demonstrates an outgoing, charismatic and positive attitude


Physical Demands:

Ability to work all shifts when required during the day, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Walking, standing, sitting, some light lifting

Indoor and outdoor conditions.


Essential Functions:

  • promotes and upholds the Freestone Club brand and values
  • utilizes software programs to design content such as Adobe Creative Suites
  • considers safety of members and staff when working on applicable projects
  • design and produce website and social media content and includes layout of graphics and marketing of events
  • design and assist in production of messaging such as emails, newsletters, brochures to members and key stakeholders
  • produce, update, and assist in design of signage, maps, and logos used for various purposes throughout the company and grounds
  • collaborate with surveyors, vendors, contractors and other supporting entities in the design and production of content and materials
  • manage inventory of graphic design equipment and materials and recommend upgrades or innovative investments as required
  • refreshes content and material annually or as required to keep the brand high quality, appealing, and engaging
