LOCATION
Hybrid, with the option to work from home and collaborate in the company headquarters office in Denver's RiNo Art District neighborhood.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer, Art Director, Digital Production Artist, or Video Editor, with extensive experience in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and experience in video editing software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create visual aspects of marketing materials, work within brand standards, put together separate elements of a design, closely work with a copywriter, liaison with resort photographers and videographers, and create short video edits.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Graphic Design Manager, the Graphic Designer will work within the in-house Creative Production Team.
This team provides creative support services to a larger cross - functional Marketing Department and will also help support the creation of assets for our paid media plans. The Graphic Designer is someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts, and other designs to support the Ikon Pass and Alterra Mountain Company communications.
This can include print ads, brochures, swag design, signs, presentations, web banners, social media executions and videos using an extensive collection of images and videos provided by our resorts. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to hit the ground running with a proficiency in design, design software, and multi-tasking. Additionally, the applicant should be comfortable working on video deliverables roughly 30% of the time.
This role will work within existing brand guidelines and seasonal campaign established by our Agency of Record and skews towards production with opportunities for concepting on new initiatives. Applicants with outdoor product and service experience will be given prime consideration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities
- Create visual aspects of marketing materials for both traditional and digital media, including: print, brochures, signage, booth design, website, email, and social media.
- Work within the brand standards and often an existing campaign platform, established by the creative Agency of Record.
- Put together separate elements of a design created by another professional, such as the icons, photographs, videos and other components necessary for the creation of a new marketing communication element.
- Closely work with a copywriter, as a creative team member, to develop and execute creative concepts and content that achieves marketing objectives.
- Liaison with resort photographers and videographers to obtain imagery that is required to complete a project.
- Work with print production team member to ensure that files are created to the appropriate specifications for print vendors and media platforms
- Create short video edits for internal & social media usage using both professional and social media-based software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must have at least 3+ years of professional working experience as a Graphic Designer, Art Director, Digital Production Artist or Video Editor. Design work for outdoor products and services preferred.
- Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is MANDATORY
- Experience in video editing software (Adobe Premier / After Effects, etc.) required
- Working knowledge of HTML5 or CSS3 preferred
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to meet ongoing fast-paced deadlines.
- A motivated self-starter who's able to work both collaboratively with a team, as well as independently
- Ability to welcome, absorb and apply daily constructive feedback to their work as part of the department ongoing process
- Adaptive design eye and skill set
- Strong knowledge of ski/ snowboard industry.
- Professional/lived experience proactively marketing, communicating, and driving sales in a culturally competent manner to a diverse range of audiences and new/emerging markets, including to underrepresented communities
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $58,000 to $81,000 per year
