Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Growth Marketing Manager to help accelerate growth for several applications. In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies that leverage an analytical approach to free trials, sign-ups, and conversions.
Your job is to own the marketing funnel and convert free trials to paid subscriptions. You’ll measure and evaluate the funnel from acquisition to conversion running experiments and driving product and messaging updates that will grow leads and conversions to hit/exceed revenue targets.
In this role you’ll develop acquisition strategies, create and define experiences that drive first use activation, level up communications to drive free trial engagement, reinforce product benefits, increase conversion rate improvements, and anything that will optimize the funnel while positioning our applications at the forefront of healthcare workforce solutions.
We are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager with a proven track record in owning and scaling growth marketing efforts for product-led growth companies, with experience driving free trials and converting users into paying customers. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with our Marketing, Product and Development teams on both execution and performance optimization of our free trial and conversion experiences.
Ownership and achievement of our free-trial and conversion goals is job #1.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Own and optimize the growth marketing function to scale free trials of our applications.
Meet and exceed free trial and conversion revenue goals each month by creating and managing marketing campaigns across organic and paid marketing channels, including in-app marketing, email marketing, paid acquisition, re-targeting, etc.
Own our full-funnel marketing strategy, including increasing our conversion rates from free trial to paid.
Develop and optimize a first-class digital experience with clear digital journeys and revenue targets across key verticals and personas. Including building out the entire funnel.
Lead the development and management of digital assets (websites, landing pages, emails, ebooks and ads), working as an individual contributor alongside our internal Creative and Digital marketing resources
Partner closely with marketing, product, and support to ensure proper messaging, timing, and execution of campaigns across all channels
Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and analyze experiments, rapidly iterate based on results, and distill actionable insights to drive performance improvements.
Use a data-backed, highly iterative approach to create weekly and monthly goals to ensure overall KPIs are met.
Use strong analytical skills and data to optimize funnels, evaluate performance, and measure the success of marketing initiatives. Familiarity with growth marketing metrics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Tableau). Regularly report on funnel metrics, research findings, and how updates have driven results.
Understand how users are currently acquired and use the product (what’s worked/ what hasn’t) to develop a baseline and playbook for growth.
Develop and define campaigns and creative that grow acquisitions, engagement and conversions. Host ongoing webinars for key audiences/channels
Build and manage a structured testing roadmap, including A/B tests, and balancing short-term wins with long-term growth initiatives.
You should have free-trial and marketing campaigns down. You are on target to meet/ exceed goals and have a playbook for how to effect free-trials in a given week.
Requirements
3-5 years digital marketing experience
1-3 years' experience managing free trials and conversion rate optimization
Experience working for gaming apps, premium apps, or SaaS software is a plus (preferred, but not required)
Marketing degree, or analytics background (preferred, not required)
Google analytics certification
Demonstrated experience using 3rd party tools such as Braze, Pendo, Mixpanel, Appsflyer, and other technologies used to optimize and measure campaigns.
Experience with project management and running multiple campaigns and tactics simultaneously
Qualifications

Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable insights to stakeholders

Ability to effortlessly partner with and influence other stakeholders and teammates while establishing trust and credibility internally
Proven ability to manage complex projects and partner with cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Displays critical thinking ability examining and considering multiple perspectives and decision-making
