SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Head of Content Strategy leads efforts to engage parents and students with biblical worldview content, aiming to reach one million parents through various media platforms.

Head of Content Strategy
REPORTS TO: Director of Publishing and Content
CLASSIFICATION: FT/Exempt
PAY RANGE: $80,000–$100,000 DOE
POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Content Strategy drives ministry content marketing efforts to create content that helps
students and parents understand their place in God’s true story of the world, experience transformation,
and engage others with truth through relationships. This role is the key stakeholder in launching an
initiative to reach one million parents with biblical worldview formation content across various media.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Own the responsibility of Summit’s content marketing strategy—compelling audiences towards
events, conferences, curriculum, books, web resources, graduate support, and more.
● Design, execute, and refine content strategies that align with organizational objectives and target
audience interests across digital platforms, complementing print books.
● Manage, track, and oversee content expenses and report regularly on budget status.
● Responsible for expansion and reporting of content reach and success to executive leadership.
● Lead contributors, editors, designers, and production teams to produce cohesive, high-quality
content. Ensure that all content meets brand standards and engages our audience effectively.
Provide constructive feedback to writers and editors to enhance content quality.
● Utilize SEO best practices to enhance content discoverability. Leverage analytics tools to optimize
content effectiveness, adjust strategies, and report on key metrics.
● Oversee content calendars, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels, including print
publishing, curriculum, and events.
● Propose new ideas and strategies to enhance our content and books, both in presentation and
distribution.
● Conduct research on audience needs, preferences, and trends in worldview formation content.
Use analytics to understand and adapt content strategies for greater reach.
● Collaborate proactively with the marketing team to ensure content complements and enhances
each customer journey and marketing team goals.
● Stay current with trends in Christian media and content marketing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● Degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced
theological degree preferred.
● 7+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or editorial roles, preferably within
Christian publishing or media.

● Experience with project oversight, including managing staff and budgets.
● Strong understanding of audience engagement strategies for Christian parents.
● Understands the marketing channels for and the content consumption habits of Christian families.
● Familiarity with content management systems and analytical tools.
● Proven experience in SEO, content optimization, and analytics.
● Knowledge of UX/UI principles as they relate to content.
● Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery.
● Experience with project management so

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Mastery of the English language, especially in written form.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily in an office environment. May be able to perform some duties remotely while working in
regular communication and collaboration with the team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
