Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred, with 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience ideally in a $100M+ revenue company. Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting experience, and advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software tools required.

As the Head of Finance for Rent., Redfin’s rentals business, you will be a key member of the Rent. leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and long-term business planning. You will lead all aspects of financial management, including strategic financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and revenue forecasting. In addition, in this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for our Atlanta-based operational team responsible for billing and driving cash collections to ensure service continuity for our clients. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong financial acumen and operational expertise, capable of guiding the company’s financial health during periods of growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all financial operations, including FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
Develop and execute financial strategies that support the company’s short-term and long-term business goals.
Collaborate with the CFO, President, and leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and ensure alignment between financial and operational objectives for the business.
Provide detailed financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and capital needs to support business decisions and growth plans.
Provide insights and recommendations to optimize profitability, control costs, and improve operational efficiencies across the organization.
Present financial performance, key metrics, and strategic insights to the CFO and President.
Ensure the financial integrity of the organization by maintaining robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), financial regulations, and internal policies.
Implement and enhance systems, tools, and processes to improve data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA is strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally with a proven track record in a $100M+ revenue company.
Strong financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting experience, with a focus on driving growth and operational efficiency.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software tools
Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with C-suite executives
Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and compliance requirements.
Ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
