Role Overview
We’re seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Growth to help us continue to profitably scale our impact. You’ll oversee our DTC and Amazon channels, supervise our agency partners, establish and track KPIs, and conduct experiments for further growth with these channels. You’ll also be responsible for testing and developing additional customer acquisition methods and sales channels, with wholesale (via Fullscript) and retail as strong possibilities within the next few years.

We expect you to build out a data-driven growth process. You should be a growth scientist—generating hypotheses, creating experiments, analyzing them, drawing conclusions, and repeating. You should be able to get into the weeds and test out new channels, build models with numbers that matter (ROAS, first-order profitability, gross margin, contribution margin, LTV), analyze channels for effectiveness, build playbooks, and figure out why (or why not) something is working. While we’ve had success with Meta ads, we don’t want to rely entirely on Meta for growth and acquisition.

You will own everything related to growth—from customer acquisition to lifecycle marketing to email to driving subscriptions to expanding into new channels. You will report directly to the CEO and manage a small (but smart and tenacious) internal marketing team along with several agencies and outside vendors.

Experience in the supplements or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is a plus but not required. The position is virtual, but you will be expected to attend 3-4 on-site meetings in Bend, OR, throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and profitably scale our Shopify and Amazon channels
  • Analyze our top-of-funnel marketing mix and figure out which acquisition platforms to accelerate, which to eliminate, and which parts of the funnel to test, iterate, and optimize
  • Create and experiment with pricing offers and product bundling to hit target financial KPIs
  • Identify and test additional channels (e.g. TikTok shop, wholesale, retail, etc.) and build playbooks to scale
  • Manage lifecycle marketing (Klaviyo, Postscript, Post Pilot)
  • Manage and scale subscription revenue growth/MRR and retention
  • Manage creation, distribution, systemization, and scaling of unique value-driven content across applicable channels
  • Test, develop, and scale a partnership (e.g., affiliate, micro-influencer, etc.) program
  • Understand and manage important growth metrics per channel (CAC, LTV, AOV, contribution margin)
  • Manage agencies and contractors currently executing on tactics
  • Optimize CRO, directly or through contractors/partners
  • Have knowledge and experience with evaluating, implementing, and using various e-commerce software
  • Oversee current and future marketing managers, social media managers, copywriters, etc

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in growth marketing, with a focus on Meta/Google, Amazon, partnerships/affiliate, and podcast advertising
  • Proven track record of driving growth in a high-growth or startup environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience in the supplements or CPG industry is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for health and wellness.
  • Ability to work independently remotely while staying highly organized and results-oriented
  • Willingness to travel to Bend, OR, 3-4 times per year for on-site meetings

Compensation

  • Base salary of $200,000–$225,000
  • Employee profit sharing plan and bonuses significantly increase earning potential
