How the Service Works:

Customers sign up on our web portal to schedule service on their respective campus. A week before final examinations, our staff distributes custom-made boxes, tape, and packing supplies to the customer. The student packs their items, uploads a few photos to our portal, selects their desired insurance, locks it in their room, and can leave at will! Thanks to our partnership with the university, our staff comes in once the campus is vacant and moves all of the student belongings into a storage facility for the summer. The best part is, the items will be ready and waiting in the customer's new housing assignment whenever they return.

Job Description:

The Head of Marketing is a vital position as we are a Direct-to-Consumer brand. This role will report to and collaborate regularly with the CEO and COO of the company. The majority of our sales come from Email Marketing, SEO, PPC, Paid/Organic Facebook/Instagram, SMS Marketing, and Influencer Marketing. This position doesn't need to be an expert in all of these categories on day 1 but must be hungry to learn and embrace new technology with the growing integration of AI. In addition to these responsibilities, the Head of Marketing will be instrumental in building out and leading a marketing team, ensuring we have the talent and resources needed to scale effectively. This includes identifying key roles, recruiting top talent, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing marketing department.

Requirements:

  • Strong project manager with a bias for action.
  • Exceptional Written and Oral Communicator – Snappy and well-written responses across all mediums are key.
  • Quick learner with a yearn to self-improve every day.
  • Technologically savvy, with the ability to learn new software rapidly.
  • Experience in still/video content creation.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing, including identifying, onboarding and managing influencer partnerships
  • A passion for content creation and successful content metrics
  • 3 years of relevant experience preferred

Functions of the Role:

Content Creation:

  • Trend Research/Insights for Content Ideation
  • Scripting/Storyboarding Content
  • Work alongside the founders and shoot content weekly.
  • Collaborate with Organic Social Media Manager for edits
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers to create aligned and impactful campaigns
  • Coordinate influencer campaigns including negotiation, contracts, and performance tracking
  • Collaborate with Paid Social Media Manager for edits
  • Utilize AI tools for creating many creative iterations.

Paid Ads/PPC:

  • Collaborate with Media Buyer to ensure budget and ROAS are on target
  • Hook Testing
  • Key Word Integration from SEM Rush into PPC
  • CTR Optimization on Video Ad Creative
  • Reporting on top-performing creative to C Suite.

SEO:

  • Collaborate with SEO blog writer to ensure quality content is being produced and published
  • Checking SEM Rush for Key Word gaps and Authority score rankings
  • Fielding online press opportunities and ensuring backlinks are added to articles

Email Marketing:

  • Growing our Email List
  • Writing/Editing Promotional Email Copy
  • Testing Subject Lines
  • Testing Flash Sales
  • List Segmentation/Optimization
  • Campaign Performance Reporting

Website Acquisition Funnel:

  • Ability to work in Webflow and make small adjustments
  • Ability to create Zapier integrations to help automate processes
  • Creation and testing of landing pages.
  • A/B testing hero copy/imagery
  • Updating the website copy/imagery for promotional campaigns

Team Building and Leadership:

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard top marketing talent to create a high-performing marketing team.
  • Develop a team structure that supports all facets of our marketing strategy.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Mentor and guide team members, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with company goals.
