The Head of Sales and Marketing will drive revenue growth and customer acquisition through strategic planning and execution in the technology sector, focusing on both consumer and enterprise markets.
Position Overview and Key Responsibilities:
The Head of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth, brand awareness, and customer acquisition across B2B and B2C markets. This leadership position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to achieve company objectives. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in both selling and marketing into consumer and enterprise markets within the technology sector.
Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, including hiring, training, quota assignment, and coaching for sales development representatives and account executives
- Oversee the building and nurturing of relationships with new customers, industry partners, and key stakeholders
- Create and optimize sales processes and playbooks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of pipeline generation and close rates
- Monitor sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to improve results of the entire team
Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, including branding, positioning, and go-to-market plans with both paid and organic marketing mix
- Set digital KPIs, targets, and actively manage marketing budgets
- Drive lead and demand generation strategies
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website management, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and content marketing
- Run integrated marketing campaigns with sales to drive outbound pipeline growth using various strategies like account based marketing and content syndication
- Align campaigns to forecasts that can be relied upon to make critical decisions that impact marketing calendars, strategies, product metrics, and revenue
- Continuously analyze market trends and customer needs to inform product positioning
Market Focus
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategies for how Anonyome makes Privacy a mainstream topic that appeals to privacy centric and non-privacy minded individuals
- Work closely with product teams to align product features with market demands, and alignment to promotional messaging, usage rates, and impacts to subscription forecasting
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive sales and marketing approaches that aligns with Anonyome’s vision and mission
- Partner with customer success team to improve pre-sales, retention and drive upsells using automation, account-based marketing, and a number of different channels and mediums to drive marketing qualified leads that can be nurtured into sales qualified leads
Analytics and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze sales and marketing performance metrics
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve strategies and tactics
- Provide regular reports on revenue, pipeline, and marketing ROI to leadership
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in senior-level sales and marketing positions within B2C and B2B SaaS technology industry.
- Results driven with a proven track record of leading teams to exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Expertise in digital marketing, SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data to refine strategies.
- Proficiency in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with an understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes.
- Knowledgeable about the technology industry, particularly in SaaS, product lead growth (PLG), and cybersecurity and privacy.
- Experience in analyst and media relations is advantageous.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, rapidly changing environment
- Strong leader capable of inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams
