Summary
The Admin Health Communications and Marketing (AHCM) Analyst Part-Time role is pivotal in developing and executing strategic communication and marketing initiatives to support HRSA health centers in addressing disparities in cancer screening and follow-up care, with a strong focus on health equity. The AHCM will work closely with the Training & TA Facilitator, Data Analyst, and other team members to ensure that messaging and outreach are consistent, evidence-based, and aligned with the project’s objectives, particularly in the focus areas of breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that emphasize health equity and raise awareness of cancer screening programs, specifically for breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancers, among target populations.
- Design and manage digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and content creation, to enhance engagement with health centers and the communities they serve.
- Create culturally competent and accessible educational materials and resources tailored to diverse audiences, with specific content addressing breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancer prevention and screening.
- Coordinate with health center staff to disseminate information and support community outreach initiatives focused on the identified cancer areas.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, using data to refine and improve outreach efforts in cancer focus areas.
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, coordinating interviews, and responding to media inquiries related to cancer screening and prevention.
- Organize and participate in community events, webinars, and other outreach activities to promote cancer screening and follow-up care for the identified cancers.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Health, or a related field, master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in health communications, public relations, or marketing, with a preference for experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings focused on health equity and cancer care.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
