Chase is seeking a Home Lending Communications Manager Vice President to manage executive communications, enhance the firm's reputation, and create thought leadership opportunities in the mortgage industry.
Chase is hiring an experienced professional to manage external and executive communications for Home Lending. This person will be responsible for supporting Home Lending’s various thought leadership platforms externally—including through industry events, corporate responsibility efforts and social media.
As a Home Lending Communications Manager Vice President reporting to the Head of External Communications for Home Lending you will have a pulse on what’s going on in the mortgage industry and the ability to strategize and execute on opportunities to connect Home Lending and its executives in authentic and compelling ways. In addition, you will help to connect dots across various functions and business lines in support of the firmwide housing impact strategy. You will also create and manage thought leadership opportunities to reach various external audiences including but not limited to industry professionals, trade media, nonprofit organizations, and industry-related opinion leaders
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and execute strategic communications efforts that authentically connect Home Lending’s story and executives with key industry-related topics.
- Provide strategic communications counsel to Chase executives and managers, supporting them as spokespeople and thought leaders through prep, speaker briefs, messaging, etc.
- Protect and enhance the reputation of the firm – both externally and among employees.
- Manage Home Lending’s story and show its impact through the development of content and materials built to reach target audiences such as employees, consumers, and real estate agents. Craft talking points, social media posts, executive messages, and press materials in support of Home Lending’s narratives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 7+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications role.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; comfort and familiarity with developing content for social media platforms, especially LinkedIn
- Experience with media relations, and understanding of the media landscape
- Familiarity with B2B and B2C approaches
- Some domestic travel is required
- A strategic thinker who can also stay on top of the nitty gritty details
- Outstanding interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with colleagues across businesses and functions; excellent executive presence and presentation skills, ability to interface with senior management.
- Collaborative team player with negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task - manage multiple stories/communications/plans simultaneously
- Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility and adaptability. We need a go-getter with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines – and sometimes outside traditional business hours.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Understanding of Marketing a plus
- Experience working in a large company a plus
