Hospice Marketer/Liaison
Position Summary/Purpose:
The Hospice Marketer is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our hospice care services. This role involves building relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and potential clients to increase referrals and awareness of hospice care benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare marketing, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate understanding of hospice care philosophy.
Organizational Relationship:
Reports directly to the Marketing Director or equivalent.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare marketing, sales, or business development, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
· Skills: Strong understanding of hospice care philosophy and the ability to communicate its benefits compassionately and effectively.
Preferred Skills:
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
· Proven track record of building productive relationships with healthcare professionals and community organizations.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Software preferred.
· Knowledge of local healthcare market and potential referral sources
· Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment: This role requires frequent travel to healthcare facilities, community organizations, and events within the assigned territory/
Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Develop a hospice presence in the hospital, attending and facilitating rounds and care conferences when possible, conferring with providers, speaking at in-service meetings, attending committee meetings, and participating in new staff orientation.
2. Develop, educate, implement, and serve as a consultant to hospital medical professionals concerning hospice programs, palliative care, pain management and about hospice Medicare/Medicaid/commercial reimbursements.
3. Act as a liaison and advocate for Hospice patients admitted to the hospital.
4. Develop and execute marketing plans to increase hospice care referrals from hospitals, physicians, long-term care facilities, and other potential referral sources.
5. Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community leaders and other referral sources through regular visits, follow-ups, and networking events.
6. Collaborate with the hospice care team to identify market needs and develop services offerings that meet those needs.
7. Participate in community events, health fairs, and other outreach activities to promote hospice care awareness.
8. Inform appropriate hospital patients and their families about the Hospice philosophy, goals and services.
9. Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust marketing strategies as needed.
10. Manage marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately represent hospice services.
11. Track and report on marketing activities and referral outcomes to senior management.
12. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hospice care marketing.
13. Work closely with the admissions team to facilitate a smooth referral and intake process.
14. Perform other duties as agreed on by the Hospice Board of Directors.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
