Hospice Marketer/Liaison
LOCATION
On the road, with occasional in-office responsibilities for meetings and planning.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred; 2-3 years of experience in healthcare marketing, sales, or business development, preferably in hospice or palliative care; strong understanding of hospice philosophy and excellent communication skills.

Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, conduct community outreach and education, advocate for patients and families, analyze market trends, and maintain documentation and reporting of marketing activities.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and compassionate Hospice Marketer to join our team. This role is responsible for promoting hospice services, building relationships with referral sources, and increasing awareness of the benefits of hospice care within the community. The Hospice Marketer will play a vital role in expanding the organization’s reach and helping patients and families access high-quality end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Referral Source Development:
- Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and community organizations.
- Schedule and conduct regular visits, presentations, and meetings to promote hospice services and educate healthcare providers about eligibility criteria and benefits.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the referral base and meet organizational goals.
- Community Outreach and Education:
- Represent the organization at health fairs, networking events, and community gatherings to increase visibility and awareness of hospice care.
- Develop educational materials and presentations for healthcare providers and community members to enhance understanding of hospice philosophy and services.
- Patient Advocacy and Support:
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, and referral sources by explaining hospice services and guiding them through the enrollment process.
- Ensure a smooth transition of care by collaborating with the clinical team to address patient needs.
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and referral patterns to identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide input on marketing strategies, campaigns, and tools to effectively reach target audiences.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, referral contacts, and outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports on referral trends, marketing performance, and achievement of goals for leadership review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in healthcare marketing, sales, or business development, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
- Strong understanding of hospice philosophy, eligibility criteria, and end-of-life care.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers and community leaders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the service area.
Working Conditions:
