SHORT DESCRIPTION

Seeking an experienced Area Director of Revenue to manage revenue strategies across four hotel/resort properties, enhancing performance through effective channel management and team collaboration.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal Area Director of Revenue is a seasoned, creative high performer with comfort and experience in established independent hotels. This position will lead all revenue management and distribution strategies for our four hotel\resort properties being based in Maryland with travel requirements regularly to Bear Creek Mountain Resort. The right leader will partner with each property to optimize performance and create and maintain strong relationships with team members, partners, online travel agencies, system partners and others to position the properties for optimal results.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Primary Director of Revenue for the four SMC properties (The Hotel at the University of Maryland, Cambria College Park, The Hotel at Arundel Preserve, Bear Creek Mountain Resort) optimizing performance through effective channel management, rate positioning, distribution and managing of support team and systems.
Effectively manage staff through respectful communication, clear expectations, relevant training, productive coaching, holding regular team meetings, and appropriate performance management.
Directly manage Area Business Transient Sales Manager for MD hotels and drive LNR productivity
Partners with sales and corporate marketing team for e-commerce management at each property. This includes participation in regular calls, development of packages and promotions and input on tactical and strategic direction for online marketing working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, PR, and Marketing teams.
Brings a strategic perspective by continuously developing our brand and integrating it into every aspect of the guest experience.
Chairs weekly Revenue Optimization Committee (ROC) meeting for each property presenting recommendations and opportunities.
Optimizes rooms' revenue and improves RevPAR Index penetration through developing and executing sales and pricing strategies for each of the hotel's key market segments.
Proactively participates in the comprehensive sales and marketing efforts.
Serves as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for all OTA, third-party providers, and partners for revenue management systems at all properties.
Reviews and analyzes market and competitive intelligence daily.
Responsible for managing selling restrictions and inventory controls.
Manages revenue optimization systems, Duetto and ChoiceMax, to ensures rate parity across all relevant sellable channels with appropriate restrictions.
Ensures operational forecasts for each property is distributed on a weekly basis.
Prepares rooms forecasts monthly in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Managers for final submission to the corporate team and ownership.
Completes annual budget process including rooms revenue and RevPAR index goals in conjunction with DOSM, GM and VP of Hospitality and Sales
Recommends group pricing strategies to optimize profitability with the sales team.
Leads the daily business review meeting with the sales teams for each property.
Continuously looks to improve the revenue strategy process through the investigation of new tools, methods, and procedures and implements changes accordingly.
Conducts displacement analysis for groups and long-term business when required.
Directs support team on day to day tasks and validates for accuracy.
Conducts training, reviews performance, and works to develop direct reports.
Provides regular status reports to all property General Managers and VP of Hospitality and Sales
Responsible for creating and maintaining consolidated reporting structure for all properties.
Contributes to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed.
Available during peak operating times, i.e.: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events.
Attends department meetings and training sessions, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor.

Requirements:
Five years minimum demonstrated revenue management leadership at a 200+ key, full-service hotel, preferably independent property and/or resort required.
Two years multi-property revenue leadership experience preferred along with resort experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
