SHORT DESCRIPTION
The HR Coordinator role focuses on enhancing company culture and managing people processes, ensuring effective support for recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement within a mission-driven company.
The HR Coordinator has a passion for culture & engagement, and is energized by driving the people processes across all supported entities under the One Planet Group umbrella. Key responsibilities associated with the role focus on supporting People Operations deliverables such as company wide recruiting efforts, onboarding, training and benefits. The role will actively participate in office wide culture activities.
The nature of People Operations roles requires flexibility and hustle, and ideal candidates possess a knack for problem solving and keeping their tasks organized.
This is an in-office role in American Fork, Utah.
Scope of responsibilities:
- General HR Admin
- Office Admin support, including ordering supplies, arranging/ordering team lunches, running errands such as dropping off mail and picking up items for the office
- Support full-cycle recruiting and onboarding strategies
- Assist with benefits reconciliation

Maintain employee records:
- Maintain and update the HRIS system to ensure people-related information is up to date and accurate.
- File documents in appropriate locations (HRIS, personnel files)
- Maintain People-related policies and documents; Including employee handbook, onboarding, contracts.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding efforts, such as coordinating interviews, I-9 verifications, and coordinating accounts with IT
- Collaborate with the broader People Ops team and PR team to help drive culture & engagement initiatives, such as Service Day activities and rewards programs.
- Ad hoc special HR projects, as assigned by VP of People (like coordinating swag for team events)

- Maintaining confidentiality. You handle sensitive information appropriately, with respect and care.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills, paired with strong critical thinking. In your HR Coordinator role, it’s imperative to be able to effectively communicate your ideas to a diverse audience of stakeholders. For example, this translates to working with other departments to coordinate onboarding or working with external benefits partners to perform reconciliation.
- Can-do attitude and hustle. In the fluid world of People Ops, it’s important to be proactive and enthusiastic in order to solve problems and provide both internal and external contacts with excellent support.
- Proficiency in Spanish ideal, as we support a global team including Guatemala

- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Proactive and and lead with a positive attitude when it comes to problem solving
- Experienced with Google Business Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet).
- Passionate about people and culture! Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in People Ops is an asset.
Compensation will be determined by factors including knowledge and skills, role-specific qualifications, and experience.
