Seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to support and align corporate resources with employee needs while managing various HR functions within a growing HVAC company.
This is a full-time, direct placement role at Huckestein Mechanical Service.
Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Salary: $100,000 annually (Exempt, Full-Time)
Bonus: Up to 20% of annual salary
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized HR Generalist to for our growing HVAC business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this key role will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, adding value to the organization and providing essential support to the employees of the business. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in aligning corporate resources with employee needs, managing event and corporate planning, handling benefit information, union communication and reporting and other HR-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage processes to proactively prepare for role transitions and onboarding needs.
- Plan and organize employee reviews and performance assessments.
- Manage company-wide event planning, including internal and external events.
- Organize travel arrangements for executives and staff, ensuring cost-effective and timely bookings.
- Monitor and track HR-related data, including employee time off, work anniversaries, and other important milestones.
- Be responsible for union-reporting and communication with unions and union employees.
- Manage our third party payroll system
- Serve as a key problem solver, providing solutions for operational challenges as they arise.
- Act as a central employee communication hub, collaborating across departments to facilitate smooth workflows.
- Lead and manage special projects as assigned by the executive team.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resource Management.
- SHRM member and has or will become SHRM certified.
- Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail and a Type A, self-starter mentality.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with using ChatGPT for organizational tasks.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work across departments and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.
- Tech-savvy, with an aptitude for adopting and leveraging technology to streamline processes.
