The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with various HR functions including recruitment, compliance, onboarding, benefits, and employee engagement at Brailsford and Dunlavey in Washington, DC.

Position Purpose
The Human Resources Coordinator will work closely with other members of the HR team to assist with coordinating day-to-day responsibilities. Areas of focus include but are not limited to, onboarding and orientations, recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, employee morale, and human resources information system (HRIS) administration.
Position Responsibilities
1. Coordinates onboarding programs for B&D.
- Coordinates all first-day orientations for new hires and provides schedules to managers before the employees' start date.
- Works with Marketing and IT to ensure new hires are added to the Intranet and the B&D website.
- Order business cards and mail new hire supplies/swag.
- Review HR Mailbox
- Schedule 90-day performance reviews for all new hires
- Work with functional departments to prepare slides for semi-monthly staff meeting.
2. Supports the recruitment and selection process to hire qualified talent with diverse personal and professional backgrounds efficiently.
- Posts B&D job listings with various professional and university job boards
- Develops and sustains relationships with diverse professional organizations and universities nationwide.
- Assists recruiter in reviewing resumes and applications.
- Coordinates interview logistics, including candidate correspondence, scheduling, travel arrangements, etc.
- Managing a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Review and verify completed background checks on potential new hires.
- Review transcripts for accuracy
3. Assists with federal and state compliance regulations.
- Reviews I-9 or E-Verify discrepancies in ClearCompany
- Sends out annual anti-harassment training as well as new hires.
- Assists with maintaining up-to-date personnel files that follow federal and state guidelines.
- Assists HR Manager in benefits compliance audits
- Ensures that compliance posters are ordered and displayed in all B&D offices.
- Orders and distributes safety gear as needed.
4. Assists with the human resources information system (HRIS) and talent management portal administration.
- Utilizes ClearCompany to track applicants, conduct interviews, and send offer letters.
- Maintains the ADP main home page, which is viewable by employees. Ensures that all information and resources remain up to date. Posts regular updates to staff regarding important HR information.
- Runs employee reports as needed.
5. Assists with benefits administration.
- Assist HR Manager with year-round 401(k) administration activities.
6. Supports employee morale initiatives.
- Keeps track of and organizes employee gifts, flowers, etc., for major life events and work anniversaries.
- Works closely with the HR team to develop new ways to support employee morale and wellness.
???????7. Assists with storage and organization of team documents.
- Regularly check job descriptions to ensure the most up-to-date descriptions are available to employees.
- Work with IT to ensure the HR page on the intranet contains up-to-date information/announcements.
- Maintains physical employee files in the office.
8. Performs additional duties as needed, which include, but are not limited to:
- Responds to written employment verification requests.
- Maintains inventory of new hire items, swag, etc. Places orders as needed.
- Assists with special requests and projects as needed.
Position Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a similar field.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in human resources.
- Experience with ADP is a plus.
- Experience in a staffing agency setting or within a talent acquisition or corporate recruiting department is a plus.
- Some knowledge of HR theories and best practices in recruitment, employee relations, employment law compliance, and benefits administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS applications, and other relevant computer software (i.e., knowledge databases, applicant tracking systems, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The base annual salary range for this role is currently $60,000-68,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
