Job Title: Impact Communications Administrator
Classification: Full-Time - Exempt?
Reports To: Senior Manager- Operations
Pay rate: $20.00 per hour
Summary: The Impact Storyteller will be responsible for creating impactful content that showcases ConnectAbility of MN’s mission and the positive impact it has within our communities. This role involves crafting engaging stories that highlight the organization's programs, success stories, and community contributions. The content will be shared across various platforms, including our website, social media channels, and through printed and PDF materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, excellent writing skills, and an ability to communicate our impact in a way that resonates with diverse audiences, as well as creating social media posts using Canva.
Responsibilities:
- Create Compelling Impact Stories: Develop engaging and meaningful content that highlights ConnectAbility of MN’s mission, programs, success stories, and community contributions. Tailor stories to effectively communicate the organization’s impact to a variety of audiences.
- Content Creation for Multiple Platforms: Write and edit content for the website, social media posts, printed materials, and PDFs, ensuring consistency in messaging across all formats.
- Social Media Engagement: Craft and schedule regular social media posts, using platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to engage followers, raise awareness, and promote ConnectAbility' of MN s initiatives. Utilize Canva to design visually appealing graphics and enhance post engagement.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with staff and program leaders to gather information, insights, and success stories from various departments to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of the organization’s work.
- Monitor and Track Engagement: Track the performance of content across all platforms.
- Maintain Brand Voice and Consistency: Ensure all written content adheres to ConnectAbility of MN’s brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone that reflects the organization’s values, mission, and vision.
- Create Printed and Digital Materials: Assist in the development of brochures, flyers, newsletters, and other printed or PDF documents that highlight key initiatives, community success stories, and program outcomes.
- Stay Informed on Trends: Keep up-to-date with trends in digital storytelling, social media best practices, and nonprofit communications to ensure content remains fresh and relevant.
- Support Special Campaigns and Events: Contribute content for specific initiatives, events, and fundraising campaigns, creating materials that resonate with supporters and help amplify key messages.
- Ensure Accessibility and Inclusivity: Write with a focus on accessibility, ensuring that content is inclusive and can be understood by diverse audiences.
Qualifications:?
- Ability to successfully organize and prioritize tasks to meet goals, solve problems and generate creative solutions??
- Ability to function independently within established guidelines??
- Working knowledge of Wordpress is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, ie. Office 365.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva), social media platforms, Adobe tools, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) is a plus.
