Industrial Account Representative - Southeast Michigan
LOCATION
Western Michigan (specifically Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, St Clair, and Livingston counties)
QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years of sales or relevant experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with CRM platforms, a valid driver’s license, and professional presence in customer-focused selling. Preferred: 3+ years in the lubricants industry, Certified Lubrication Specialist, and experience with metalworking lubricants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Grow lubricant business by engaging with new and existing industrial and commercial accounts, assist customers with product information and order processing, collaborate with internal departments, maintain sales reports using CRM software, participate in sales meetings and marketing events, and keep updated on product knowledge.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
This full-time commission-based position involves calling on industrial and commercial accounts in Western Michigan to develop and grow lubricant sales within the assigned territory.
Overview
Employee must reside in one of the following counties: Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, St Clair, and Livingston.
This position is responsible for calling on new and existing industrial and commercial accounts located in the western Michigan counties of Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, St Clair, and Livingston. This position involves working with new and existing accounts to grow industrial business within the assigned territory. The position will require making several calls per day, with a focus on developing new business as well grow new sales with existing accounts. This position will primarily be calling on accounts that include plastic injection molding plants, steel processing plants, machine shops, food processing plants, power and energy plants, trucking companies, construction companies, and aggregate facilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with new and existing accounts to develop lubricant business within the assigned territory
- Assist customers with product information, pricing, order entry, product selection, and problem solving
- Work closely with purchasing, customer service, and logistics to serve customer needs and expectations
- Assist credit manager with accounts receivable collections as needed
- Maintain sales and activity reports through the use of CRM software for all customers and prospects
- Participate in scheduled sales meetings and marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing events
- Maintain high level of industry knowledge on product lines through continued education and training

Requirements

- SX ERP usage
Hours
This is a full-time commission-based position with a 2-year base commission guarantee.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have no supervisory responsibility.
Travel
Travel will occur daily throughout assigned territory. Employee must reside within assigned territory.
