Assistant Interior Designer & Socials Content Creator

Hybrid position | Full Time | Salt Lake City Metro area

Liv Design Collective is an award-winning interior design firm based in the Salt Lake City area in the luxury residential and commercial interior design industry. We are looking for a liaison between the design team and marketing team to design and create trending, engaging, social content. We need someone who really “gets” the brand and our audience.

Our successful candidate will work directly with the Principal Designer/CEO, Marketing Manager and CMO.

ROLE AND BEHAVIORAL DESCRIPTIONS

  • Communicate easily, clearly and confidently design solutions and processes to clients and contractors.
  • Take pride in seeing that the organization communicates world class experiences for our clients, contactors and stellar small team.
  • Capture and oversee the capture of assets (photog & video), manage the asset library.
  • Maximize the publication opportunities for the design portfolio on socials, PR, email and print.
  • Our successful candidate will assist the Art Director and CMO in creating pieces for publication that are on-brand, engaging and connect clients to Liv Design Collective.
  • Be detail oriented and have a familiarity with social media terms, and other marketing terms so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Must have 2-3 years of marketing experience. Experience in other fields and industries is a bonus.
  • Bachelors in a related field preferred not required.
  • Social media skills – you are immersed on major platforms
  • Tech skills including CAD, Microsoft suite, Canva, Vid Editing Tools, Notion, Sprout or other social media tool, and Word-press are required, or you know you can learn them quickly.
  • Experience in E-Commerce, luxury brands, is helpful but not required.
  • You will DO some of the work, oversee, other pieces but you’ll need to be fluent in both design and marketing so you can help manage content creation and interior design projects.
  • Fast and efficient work style, above average communication skills, and great people skills.
  • Frequently required to talk on the phone, video calls, and in-person to team.
  • Average or above average visual capability required. This is a visual and audio dominant position.
  • Ability to travel is required and moderate local travel is expected to and from the office in Murray and to shoots and installs to direct content as needed. Occasional out of state travel about 2-5 times a year is also expected for shows and conferences. No lifting is required.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Approx 30 hours / week – Marketing Content Creation and Publication

Approx 10 hours / week – Interior Design Assistance

MARKETING

  • Being a content generation machine: quality and engaging content. Structuring and/or delegating and overseeing marketing projects that bring in leads, extend brand awareness, and brings in revenue.
  • Achieving brand growth and defense of overall digital footprint (engagement, reviews, etc.)

INTERIOR DESIGN ASSISTANT

  • Regularly work on design projects under the direction of the Senior Designer and Art Director.
  • With supervision and training: Design and manage new construction, remodel, and interior design projects from beginning (plan phase) to end (installation).
  • With supervision and training: Design and draw cabinetry, space plans, finish work, ceiling details, and other necessary drawings to communicate design intent to contractors. Documentation + CAD skills are a must!
  • With supervision and training: Propose furnishings, products, and décor items for purchase
  • Other duties as assigned.
