QUALIFICATIONS
Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, team player mentality, and understanding of digital and social culture are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Corporate Communications & Marketing team by planning and executing integrated communications campaigns, creating engaging content, managing projects, and assisting with video production.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Otsuka’s internship program, Intern the Otsuka Way, offers students hands-on experience in Corporate Communications & Marketing, helping develop critical skills and insights into the pharmaceutical industry.
- Contribute to efforts to plan, develop, and execute integrated communications campaigns.
- Serve as beat reporter for the 2025 Intern the Otsuka Way program, creating informative and engaging content for internal and external audiences.
- Support project management efforts by creating timelines, collaborating with the internal creative team, working within editorial process to schedule content for posting/distribution.
- Write and edit content for Otsuka’s internal communication platform, calendar invites, external social media posts, and other external editorial content
- Assist with video production, including script writing
- Attend team meetings to become fully immersed in understanding the team’s priorities, goals and ways of working
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, offering your unique perspective to reach target audiences in new and meaningful ways
- By Fall 2025 candidate must be considered a/ Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship.
- Can commit to full duration of internship program.

- Deadline-driven, quick to move and able to develop executional plans in real time
- Understanding of today’s digital and social culture, with fluency in platform usage
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Experience with Sharepoint
