Otsuka’s internship program, Intern the Otsuka Way (InTOW), offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop critical skills while contributing to meaningful projects. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, learn about the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry, and gain insights into potential career paths. By combining practical experience with professional development, our program prepares interns for future success. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, as well as insightful lunch and learns.

Job Description:
The Corporate Communications & Marketing intern will gain hands-on communications experience in a fast-paced environment, supporting Otsuka’s Corporate Communications & Marketing team across the areas of: Internal Communication, External Communication & public relations, and Corporate Brand & Marketing.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to efforts to plan, develop, and execute integrated communications campaigns.
  • Serve as beat reporter for the 2025 Intern the Otsuka Way program, creating informative and engaging content for internal and external audiences.
  • Support project management efforts by creating timelines, collaborating with the internal creative team, working within editorial process to schedule content for posting/distribution.
  • Write and edit content for Otsuka’s internal communication platform, calendar invites, external social media posts, and other external editorial content
  • Assist with video production, including script writing
  • Attend team meetings to become fully immersed in understanding the team’s priorities, goals and ways of working
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, offering your unique perspective to reach target audiences in new and meaningful ways
Qualifications:
Minimum:
  • By Fall 2025 candidate must be considered a/ Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship.
  • Can commit to full duration of internship program.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with a can-do attitude where no task is too big or small
  • Self-starter with ability to collaborate closely with cross functional teams
  • Deadline-driven, quick to move and able to develop executional plans in real time
  • Understanding of today’s digital and social culture, with fluency in platform usage
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Experience with Sharepoint
