Internal Communications Manager
LOCATION
Office setting with frequent visits to the production floor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; 5+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Communications Manager will lead internal communication initiatives to engage employees, manage communication channels, and foster a positive workplace culture within the organization.
The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic and effective internal communication strategies for both MCG Central Functions and the Product Centers to engage and inform employees. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can craft compelling messages, manage various communication channels, handle crisis communication and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic internal communication plan, outlining key elements such as major messages, target audiences, preferred communication channels for each audience and timelines and campaigns to support organizational goals and initiatives.
- Create and distribute engaging and compelling content within the manufacturing environment, to ensure clear, consistent, and effective information flow across all levels of the organization.
- Developing and implementing plans to address potential crises and manage internal/external perception during critical situations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure internal messages are consistent with the company’s branding and external communications
- Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure consistent messaging.
- Responsible for crafting press releases to effectively communicate MCG news and updates to the media.
- Oversee the company's presence on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and other various social media channels collaborating with HR, leveraging these platforms to attract top talent through strategic and engaging communication
- Manage and maintain internal communication channels, such as the company intranet, email distribution lists, and digital signage.
- Organize and coordinate town halls, meetings, and other company events to ensure smooth execution and effective communication.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Foster a culture of safety first, transparency, collaboration, and employee engagement through effective communication practices.
- Manage internal communications to support the MCG Foundation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in internal communications.
Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a similar role.
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Required Skill/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, such as email marketing software, intranet systems, and content management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- FLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis, where project requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty (40) hours (including weekends or holidays)
- This role will work in an office setting, however frequent visits to the production floor are required to oversee operations, ensure compliance and safety standards and engage in staff.
- Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
- Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to twenty-five (25) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.
