SHORT DESCRIPTION

Paid digital marketing internship for Summer 2025, providing hands-on experience and potential for full-time employment upon graduation.

Looking for a way to gain experience while building your resume and evaluating career fields? We offer paid digital marketing intern positions where you can do just that and could even lead to full-time work after school.

At this time, we are currently accepting internship applications for Summer 2025.

We’re looking for bright, hardworking individuals with skills and an interest in digital advertising, marketing, content creation, design, or computer programming.

This internship operates as a hybrid with an in-office component of 1 day per week in our Pittsburgh, PA office.

All internships offer the opportunity to do real work and gain experience to help you find future employment. In addition, you’ll learn whether this is really a career path you want to take after diving right in on the day-to-day. Will there be tedious work? You bet! But, you’re also going to use your skills to create solutions that help our clients. You’ll leave with real-world knowledge and tangible results you can put on your resume.

WHO YOU ARE

To successfully apply for and excel in an internship, you will have:

  • Outstanding computer skills and strong familiarity with the internet
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • An intermediate or higher level of understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • A positive attitude and professional behavior

Programmers will also need knowledge of a variety of programming languages, databases, etc.

PAST INTERNS

This internship is not for everyone. You’re expected to work hard and perform just as though it were a regular career position. You may find that you love the work, or you may find that you hate it, but either way you’ll have a clear idea about whether you want to pursue a career in marketing, design, or programming.

Here’s what some interns had to say about the opportunity:

“I thoroughly enjoyed my internship experience at Direct Online Marketing. Justin Seibert gave me an opportunity to become more valuable in the marketplace. As a search marketing intern at DOM, I received hands-on training along with instruction. I would recommend a DOM internship to anyone who is interested in learning the nuts and bolts of online marketing.”

“The experience I gained in one summer at DOM taught me more about search marketing than the two years I spent working on my MBA. This internship is invaluable to anyone considering a career in online marketing or SEO. Those who are serious about getting their hands dirty will be rewarded with wonderful learning opportunities. In addition, Justin and his staff are a true pleasure to work for.”

Past interns have come from schools such as:

  • Akron University
  • Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh
  • Pittsburgh Technical Institute
  • Smith College
  • West Liberty University
  • West Virginia University
  • Wheeling University

WHY WORK AT DOM?

We could be a great match if the following benefits sound interesting to you:

  • The opportunity to work with an impressive group of clients from around the world
  • Consideration for future employment opportunities
  • Google certifications
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Casual dress environment
  • Real-world digital marketing experience
  • A strict No Jerks policy

We don’t know of many opportunities like this for aspiring marketers in the area. You’ll gain real-world experience that lets you figure out whether this is a field you really want to pursue in college and after graduation. Plus, it will really stand out on a resume. And if it works out for both you and us, there may be the opportunity for a full-time position with benefits after graduation.

We’ve hired outstanding interns on multiple occasions. Using this work experience toward college credits depends upon the individual school, although several local universities recognize this work for credit. We can assist you in the application process.
