12-16 hours/week; 16 weeks
Hiring Rate: $17.50 per hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)

Internship Summary:
We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic Marketing and Education Water Conservation Intern. In this role, you will help implement marketing strategies, participate in creative education campaigns, perform market research, engage the public at key outreach events, and gain hands-on, real-world experience related to marketing and water conservation programming.
Scope:
Support the City of Prescott's Water Conservation efforts by:
- supporting the creation of print and online marketing materials, presentations, social media outreach (i.e. posts, videos), and event branding efforts
- assisting with design and installation of a new public library Earth Day display
- engaging with the public around water conservation topics at public outreach events,
- participating in market research-support the development and implementation of customer/community engagement strategies that will help the city understand conservation interests and needs, and strategically implement future messaging and conservation initiatives
- supporting marketing and education outreach efforts to informal audiences-(i.e Boy/Girl Scouts, library, Heritage Center, clubs, etc.)-may include assisting with presentations, public speaking opportunities, and supporting group-selected conservation projects
- learning about community-based social marketing and assisting with the development of proposals for pilot projects
- supporting daily administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Current enrollment or recent graduation from an undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, Business, Conservation or a similar field. Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms (experience with Canva preferred).
