Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented E-commerce Analyst to join our dynamic team at ABC Supply. The ideal candidate has a background working across B2B responsive web and mobile app experiences and will help the Digital team measure business impact and prioritize initiatives through analysis, reporting, dash-boarding, experimentation, and tagging. The eCommerce Analyst will be the subject matter expert on the various tools and data sources utilized to manage the business and will leverage that knowledge to drive improvement in key performance indicators like traffic, conversion rates, and customer experience. A successful eCommerce Analyst is a self-starter and will possess and demonstrate a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem, develop solutions using quantitative and qualitative skills, and communicate with impacted teams, branch audiences and leaders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Data Analysis & Reporting: Regularly analyze performance metrics of our e-commerce platform. Generate and maintain reports detailing the sales trends, customer behavior, inventory levels, and market conditions. Interface with developers to direct and implement analytical tagging. * Website Optimization: Collaborate with the IT and Marketing departments to optimize website functionality and user experience. Identify and implement strategies to improve search engine rankings and onsite conversions. * Customer Insights: Conduct deep-dive analysis into customer data to understand buying patterns and preferences. Use insights to recommend targeted marketing and sales strategies. * Project Management: Lead and participate in projects aimed at launching new digital tools and platforms. Ensure timely completion of projects within budget. * Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors’ e-commerce activities. Provide benchmarking in product offerings, promotion, and distribution. * Additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. * At least 2 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in an e-commerce environment. * Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, and Excel. * Experience with e-commerce platforms like Magento, Shopify, or BigCommerce is a plus. * Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, and web marketing strategies. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. * Strong communication and presentation skills. * Experience using A/B and multi-variate testing solutions. * Experience defining and leveraging customer personas and journey maps. * Process analysis and improvement in a B2B omnichannel environment a plus. * Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
