National Sales Director – Educational Sales

Responsibilities and Duties

As the National Sales Director, you’ll be shaping our national sales organization to accelerate growth.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy to support triple-digit direct sales growth.
  • Sales Management: As an out of the box thinker, evaluate and recommend sales structures; including direct and inside sales channels, and the leveraging of outside consultants for tradeshows and local accounts. The plan will focus on scalable strategies to boost revenue and customer engagement.
  • Sales Directive: Actively engage in securing new business and expanding sales by making sales calls, including cold calls, responding to customer inquiries, and closing deals for Didax and/or our publishing partners.
  • New Business Development: Cultivate relationships with districts and State decision makers across North America increasing customer spending and maintaining annual buying cycle.
  • Pipeline Management: Utilize CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline, track performance metrics, and generate KPI reports to ensure alignment with sales goals and targets.
  • Company Champion: Attend key account, state, regional, and national conferences/exhibits. Work with the Head of Sales & Marketing in the development of annual sales and planning meetings.
  • Industry Insider: Research, monitor, and develop go-to-market strategies for key state and account initiatives; including adoptions, RFPs, and leverage local & state funding opportunities.
  • Sales and Market Analysis: Proficient in analyzing sales data, forecasting, and market trends to drive strategic decision-making, optimize performance, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Marketing Collaborator: Work with Product, Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure successful product launches, critical sales support initiatives, and market impact at industry events.

Experience and Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales management experience in education sales, building and growing state and district-level customer accounts.
  • Skilled in CRM platforms (HubSpot a plus), data visualization tools (Power BI), Microsoft Excel and pivot reports.
  • Up to 40% Travel
  • Remote or Hybrid position (Boston/New England candidates preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
