About this role

We are looking for a Lab Manager to be part of the Competitive Intelligence team, building and maintaining labs running both Adaptiva products and competitive products for evaluation. You will be responsible for providing access to these products to product management, marketing and development.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where tasks need to be accomplished yesterday, works independently, and is self-motivated to constantly find better and more efficient ways to accomplish goals. Adaptiva is a small company so teammates are expected to wear many hats so candidate should be prepared for role to grow in responsibilities within the company.

This is a full-time, exempt position. The role is based in our Seattle (Kirkland, WA) office and requires in-office presence.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

• Maintain lab host servers.
• Build and maintain Hyper-V virtual machines to create isolated labs.
• Create simple single server labs through advanced multi-forest AD labs with full routing and network services.
• Install, configure, and learn Adaptiva products to an advanced level.
• Evaluate competitive landscape and product features. Clearly articulate and document Adaptiva technical differentiators.
• Perform benchmarking tests and report on results.
• When needed, work with IT to expose labs to the Internet for external access.

Additional responsibilities may include:

• Maintain documentation to highlight differences between Adaptiva and competitive products.
• Assist IT with other teams’ lab servers.
• Develop educational materials to inform internal and external customers about Adaptiva products.
• Contribute knowledge to the marketing team and support their development of product marketing and compete materials. Work with Marketing to compose technical responses to questions and conversations happening across social media and other digital channels
• Manage online training platform.

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in a technical role, implementing and supporting IT software.
• Industry specific experience in systems management, device management, application management, security software and/or configuration compliance.
• Technical experience in Windows server and desktop operating systems, desktop management and Windows deployment.
• Excellent and demonstrable troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with server and networking technologies, including TCP/IP routing, DNS, DHCP,
• Experience managing Hyper-V environments.

Desired skills:

• Experience with cloud-based endpoint management/MDM solutions (e.g. Workspace ONE, Intune, NinjaOne).
• Familiarity with authentication protocols (e.g. SAML, OIDC).
• Firewall management.
• Experience with application lifecycle management (including packaging).
• Practice in writing SQL queries.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $110,000 - $120,000. The range provided is broad and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, location, and other business needs.

The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a performance bonus and very generous benefits.
