RESPONSIBILITIES

Obtain job orders, maintain workflow to meet delivery commitments, notify leaders of equipment issues, provide equipment maintenance, perform basic housekeeping, complete cross-training, and carry out other assigned duties.

Would you love being involved in the process behind creating customized eyewear? Do you enjoy working with different machinery and equipment in a fast-paced environment? At Stanton Optical our Lab Technicians are mechanically inclined talented and passionate team players who enjoy working in a fast-paced collaborative environment while preparing eyeglass wear for patients and customers. In this position, you will provide technical work, produce customized eyeglass wear, make repairs and provide minor equipment maintenance to ensure we comply with delivery times for “Now Service”, “24-Hour” and “Special Order” (Ready when promised) jobs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtains job orders from sales team and clarifies all requests to ensure accuracy.

  • Maintains a steady workflow to coincide with delivery time commitments to patients (Now Service, Ready When Promised).

  • Notifies the leader on duty of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.

  • Provides maintenance and calibration to lab equipment.

  • Ensure brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties when necessary

  • Complete cross-training with retail and customer service

  • Other duties as assigned and required

Key Qualifications

  • You have at least 1 year of experience working with established laboratory procedures/equipment operation

  • You are a result oriented person and you have a track record for delivery results, taking ownership and being accountable

  • You have meticulous organizational skills

  • You have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
