Position Overview
As the Lead Veterinary Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that both our patients and clients receive the best possible care. You will work closely with our Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians to foster a positive and efficient hospital atmosphere, where team collaboration and patient well-being are at the forefront. Your leadership and technical expertise will help to create an environment where staff members are empowered to work cohesively, and clients feel confident and supported in every aspect of their experience with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and train veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care and service.
  • Assist Veterinarians with medical procedures, diagnostics, treatments, and client communication.
  • Manage clinic workflows and ensure the efficient operation of daily tasks.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional environment for both staff and clients.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
  • Provide guidance and support in staff performance, training, and development.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including some bookkeeping tasks.
  • Support the clinic’s social media presence and marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is required.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in veterinary medicine and procedures.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Avimark (or similar veterinary software).
  • Experience with social media and online marketing is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both clients and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving skills.
