QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years on-site leasing experience required; strong communication, customer service, sales skills; ability to fluently read and write English; basic computer knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete lease agreements, show apartments, maintain cleanliness, conduct outreach marketing, assist with resident requests, process administrative forms, handle delinquent rents, and ensure property files are well maintained.

Reports To: Property Manager
Location: Centerpointe Apartments
Job Type: Hourly, Non-exempt
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday with some on-call responsibilities/weekend availability
- 8AM or 9AM to 5PM or 6PM (depending on season)
Compensation: $20-22/hour + commission
Job Summary:
A Leasing Agent acts as an initial ambassador between the public, their residents of the apartment community and the community management team. This individual is responsible for providing exception service to community residents and internal team members. They must provide the community with value and quality by assessing the needs of clients they are assisting and providing a solution that not only coincides with the goals of the community but is beneficial for all concerned parties.

Responsibilities:
- Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental applications/fees/deposits.
- Responsible for ensuring the “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show and showing said apartments to prospective residents; responsible for maintaining work areas and office in clean and orderly manner; need to have an awareness of the “curb appeal” of the property.
- Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications and all community policies.
- Knowledgeable of required telephone and sales techniques.
- Knowledgeable of current market conditions.
- Fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property.
- Maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material. Update periodically.
- Responsible for “shopping” competitive properties.
- Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
- Responsible to conduct out-reach marketing at least once per week.
- Responsible to play an active role in the renewal process.
- Responsible for proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
- Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms, reports and related information.
- Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
- Courteous, efficient handling of resident requests and complaints.
- Responsible for always maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
- Responsible for seeking educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development.
- Responsible for assisting Assistant Manager in collection of delinquent rents. Participate in planned resident activities.
- Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education:
- High School education or equivalent is required; college degree is a plus but not a requirement.
- Ability to fluently read and write English.
- Accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and use all on-site resident management software functions.
Professional Experience:
- 2+ years on-site leasing experience required.
Attendance/Travel:
- Ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. Our property staffing limitation makes it critical for you to work your scheduled hours consistently.
- Ability to serve as scheduled or as necessary.
- Ability to travel to attend various company gatherings either in the general vicinity or your home or property.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
