QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree (or equivalent experience), proficiency in graphic design, digital marketing experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Google applications, and social media platforms. Spanish proficiency and knowledge of HTML/CSS are preferred.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center seeks a full-time Communications Coordinator to enhance outreach through effective design and marketing strategies focused on supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center provides community programming via arts, health, community groups, and events to strengthen and support the LGBTQ+ community in the greater Lehigh Valley. Our Center has become a regional and statewide leader in LGBTQ+ health promotion, and received recognition for our life-enriching LGBTQ+ community programs. Our Center prides itself on providing services to address the unique needs that exist for LGBTQ+ people.
Position Description:
This full time position reports to the Sr. Manager of Communications and Marketing and is responsible for coordinating and creating internal and external communications (print, website, and social media) for the purpose of program outreach, community relations, and promotional materials. They provide support in areas such as marketing, advertising, and media relations through press interactions, press releases, social media and events.
They will expand on the Center’s brand story through social media. They will create original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers and monitoring comments for appropriateness. They will be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends and should have excellent communication skills and be able to express the Center’s views creatively. It will be important that the position holds an understanding of the Center's population served, and needs of the LGBTQ+ community.

Key Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for coordinating and assisting with internal and external communications (print, website, and social media) for the purpose of program outreach, community relations, and promotional materials. The Coordinator will provide support in marketing, advertising, and media relations through press interactions, press releases, social media and events.
Position requires the use of Adobe Creative Cloud or programs similar, to create visual concepts and communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate our audience as well as developing the layout and production design for various applications such as Social Media posts & advertisements, brochures, magazines, flyers, etc.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Design data visualization infographics
- Collaborate with partner agencies to provide co-branded data visualization materials and files in various formats to meet their needs
- Create shareable social media graphics that quickly summarize key data points
- Maintain project-based time management records
- Design promotional, program, and development materials
- Create organization-wide graphic design requests
- Design shareable graphics for various social media platforms, electronic postcards for programs and events.
- Maintain current knowledge of necessary sizing of graphics for a diverse array of social media platforms
- Assist with organizational annual report
- Ensure that graphics throughout the organization are branded with an integrated strategy, including PMS/Hex color coordination, logo placement, font, and image sizes and style
- Assist with the design of posters for conference presentations
Qualifications and Characteristics
- Non-profit experience is a plus.
- Associate’s Degree; however, commensurate years of experience may exempt degree.
- Previous experience in graphic design (the ideal candidate will have prior experience in graphic design for a non-profit and prior experience with data visualization)
- Proficient at print design, including understanding of pre-press process/print production
- Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within nonprofits.
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM and social media advertising campaigns.
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Google applications, Excel, PowerPoint, word processing, social media, and graphic design platforms including Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
- Understanding of the programmatic and direct service needs for an LGBTQ+ community-based organization
Preferences
- Spanish Language spoken and written proficiency
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Working knowledge of Adobe CC, e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
Benefits/Compensation
This full-time position offers a salary range of $39,000-$44,000. Salary offered will be commensurate with applicants experience. Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center offers rich benefits, credit union access, paid personal time, four weeks of vacation and 15 paid Holidays.
