JOB SUMMARY

As Head of Restaurant Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the growth of all restaurants operational sales across the entire owned and operated enterprise. Restaurant operations range from QSR to full-service environments and oversight includes both front and back of house operations. Continued menu development from both a food and drink perspective maintaining brand standards and staying ahead of trends within the industry. The ideal candidate must be an experienced food and beverage professional within the range of all restaurant styles as well as a strong accounting skills to be driving, controlling and creating budgets.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

People Management:

  • Leads a team of General Managers and Executive Chefs across all concepts and restaurant styles
  • Identifies and maintains the best leaders with in each line of business
  • Provides continued development of all Senior Restaurant Leadership
  • Conducts performance counseling and ensures Discipline/Termination procedures
  • Ensure compliance within guidelines of all concepts
  • Facilitate proper inter-departmental communication and organization
  • Assist and supports General Managers and Executive Chefs in any of their job functions as needed
  • Conducts annual performance appraisals of all General Managers and Executive Chefs

Ensuring Optimal Guest Experience

  • Maintains brand service standards across each concept
  • Maintains all guest service standards
  • Review and maintain strong guest insights to monitor their expectation and reviews

Brand Evolvement

  • Ensures all marketing focuses on the core of the brand and constantly engaging existing and future diners
  • Protects each of the brand marks and how it is represented in market
  • Using insights ensures that each brand develops with food and beverage trends

New Venue and Concept Development

  • Collaborates with Blueprint Studios to design new restaurants and rebranding of existing spaces
  • Aligns with project managers to open new restaurants within budget and timeline
  • Partners with HR and Training to hire and educate all team members within the opening timeline

Enhancing Revenue/ Controlling Costs

  • Reviews all restaurant food and beverage items to ensure a balance between product quality, value and costs
  • Partnesr with IT to install and maintain a POS system that provides a flawless guest experience and a robust back of house operation
  • Assists GM in preparation of annual budget/planning process and Quarterly Operating Plans
  • Develops strategies to generate and enhance revenue
  • Maintains controllable expenses and establishes effective cost control systems – Labor, Operating Supplies, Beverage and Food.

Ensure Environmental Quality and Ambiance

  • Ensures atmosphere is conducive to a quality experience (lighting, sound, room temperature, cleanliness, light of sight, table maintenance, VIP seating, etc.)
  • Maintains standard operating procedures
  • Ensures applicable health and safety requirements are met or exceeded

Here is the kind of Restaurant Leader we are looking for:

  • Minimum ten years of experience in restaurant operations or similar hospitality sector and management
  • Knowledge of ABC and other applicable government department rules and regulations regarding alcoholic beverage sales
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends
  • Expertise in determining most profitable products and pricing strategy
  • Must be highly organized, deadline-driven and able to multi-task
  • Sufficient in problem-solving and able to stay calm and resourceful in high-stress environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with personable and professional disposition
  • Proficiency in POS systems, preferably atVenu, Shift4, Best Ring and Billfold
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Travel will be integral to the success of this role and ability to be in venues for at least 50% of the year is a must
  • Desire to be creative and think outside the box to maximize revenue
