SHORT DESCRIPTION

This full-time position involves supporting internal and external communications efforts, enhancing media relations, creating content, and collaborating across teams to promote the company's mission and advancements in neuroscience.

Position Overview:

This individual will support all external and internal communications efforts, including media relations, social media strategy and implementation, internal comms support, thought leadership and content development.

This is a full-time position and may be performed remotely from any location within the continental U.S. The position reports to the Vice President, Communications.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support all media relations work for the Company, maintaining relationships with reporters and proactively amplifying company news with media and other external audiences, including curating media lists and pitching various story ideas and supporting thought leadership and executive speaking opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal IR, third-party consultants, vendors, and patient advocacy groups as appropriate, on communications, digital marketing, market awareness, disease state education, conference participation and sponsorships, as well as website updates and corporate presentations.
  • Oversee third-party vendor management of day-to-day operations of our corporate communication channels, including external website, intranet (SharePoint), and social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter).
  • Write a variety of corporate content, including social media posts, company emails, scripts, talking points, press releases, and other communications, as needed.
  • Contribute to the creation of communications plans and materials.
  • Manage the development of our editorial calendar, using data and insights to achieve the right variety, format, and cadence of new content.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create content that captivates the audience while communicating the Company’s mission, values, history, culture, opportunities, and roadmap of pherine-focused neuroscientific advancements.
  • Proactively and regularly meet and engage with multiple different operating teams within the Company to gain knowledge and understanding for potential content, especially R&D teams.
  • Contribute to company branding, employer branding, and internal messaging strategy and execution.
  • Complement and coordinate with IR to enhance investor awareness, confidence, and conviction in the Company’s vision and strategies for delivering shareholder value and patient benefit.
  • Understand and be up-to-date on communication standards, emerging trends, and industry best practices to amplify awareness and mitigate risk.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly reporting that tracks content performance, uncovers insights to improve, and tracks success of communications efforts.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for continuous professional learning and skill-building through communications-related industry conferences and using available resources.
  • Actively contribute to team discussions, sharing insights and ideas to foster innovation and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years of experience in communications; experience in biotech, healthcare, and/or pharmaceutical industry preferred but not required.
  • Ability to engage and interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility to work in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Superior judgment and ability to demonstrate adaptability to individual needs while maintaining the organization’s integrity.
  • Hands-on builder with excellent strategic, communication, interpersonal, and business skills
  • Ability to manage and assist IR and executive management to maintain relationships outside the Company within the equity research and investor communities.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficiency with programs such as Meltwater, SharePoint, Cision, Canva, social media/content management platforms, and other online communications tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude with a focus on creating positive outcomes.
  • Flexible hours (domestic time zones) may be required in this remote environment.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work remotely is $80,000 to $115,000 per year. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.
