The Communications and Engagement Manager will lead internal and external communications initiatives aimed at increasing employee engagement, enhancing the company's employment brand, and maintaining a positive public image for SVP Worldwide.

The Communications & Engagement Manager is responsible for internal communications, targeted public relations, employee engagement efforts and employment brand support. This key individual contributor role is part of the SVP Worldwide Human Resources team and reports directly to the CHRO. The Communications & Engagement Manager will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, CHRO, and Global Brand Team. They will develop and deliver internal communications and engagement strategies and external targeted public relations and employment brand efforts designed to inform, inspire, attract and retain talent to SVP Worldwide while creating positive public sentiment.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal communications ideas to increase global employee engagement and improve understanding of corporate business objectives, initiatives and results.
- As part of the Human Resources team execute communications efforts to support Human Resource initiatives and better support our employees and lead development of our HR Sharepoint site, and other internal communications mediums, to support our employees.
- Partner with key Human Resource Team Members and company leaders to ensure successful Engagement Survey implementation, results communication, action planning and improvement in identified areas and Employee Net Promoter Scores.
- Manage the SVP employee Product Incentive Program and other recognition efforts.
- Draft and distribute clear, engaging communications about business updates, including seasonal messages, various employee information announcements and organizational changes to internal and external stakeholders (if necessary), ensuring alignment with company goals and tone.
- Identify and coordinate outward promotional communication opportunities for executives, including speaking engagements, media appearances, and industry events, to enhance the company's visibility and promote its products
- Aware of and responsive to the company's public image, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels, and escalating and responding promptly and professionally to all inquiries and concerns.
- Conduct initial evaluation of media and donation requests to assess alignment with the company's brand, ESG initiatives, charitable efforts, and inclusivity goals, before forwarding to the brand and product teams for further assessment and potential engagement.
- Plan and Organize working closely with the Chief of Staff quarterly Global Town Hall Meetings and Strategic Leadership Skip level sessions to share critical company performance and operating information engaging all our employees. Identify and implement new ways to engage and inform our employees.

- Improve SVP Worldwide employment brand recognition in social media (LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram)
- Support Talent Acquisition/Human Resource efforts in recruitment and onboarding through brand/marketing interventions.
Targeted External Public Relations
- Point of contact/coordinate SVP Worldwide relationship with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.
- Review, recommend and select partnerships, sponsorships and philanthropic involvement/donations in line with Corporate ESG efforts, Global Product Brand Strategy and in line with budget. Conduct initial evaluation of media and donation requests to assess alignment with the company's brand, ESG initiatives, charitable efforts, and inclusivity goals, before forwarding to the brand and product teams for further assessment and potential engagement.

You Bring (requirements, preferred skills):
- Bachelor degree required/Masters Degree Preferred
- 5+ years of communications/public relations experience preferably in a Global corporate environment
- Strong interpersonal and social skills
- Efficient multi-tasking and time management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented
- Professional demeanor and public speaking abilities
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Sharepoint experience
- Familiarity with key social media tools (Linkedin, IG, Facebook, etc.)
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Self-directed, motivated, and the ability to organize multiple tasks and projects
- Works well in a cross-functionally collaborative environment
You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
- Any additional physical requirements
