The Manager of Donor Stewardship and Events at Xiente will cultivate donor relationships, plan engaging events to inspire giving, and support the development team's efforts in securing funding for the organization's mission of economic mobility.

Description:

The Manager of Donor Stewardship and Events is a vital role at Xiente, responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with our generous donors. This position will report to the acting VP of Development and work closely with the development team to create a comprehensive stewardship program that fosters meaningful connections with donors at all levels. This role also includes planning and executing engaging events that inspire giving and promote Xiente's mission.

Xiente's Director of Development is a key leadership position, reporting to the acting VP of Development, responsible for driving new revenue growth by securing financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. This front-line fundraiser will implement Xiente's fund development plan, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new funding partnerships while collaborating with internal teams (Executive Leadership, Compliance, Programs, Finance, Grant Writer, and Donor Stewardship) to exceed donor expectations and further our mission of empowering individuals and families to achieve economic mobility.

Requirements:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship plan that includes personalized communications, impact reporting, and recognition initiatives.
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of the donor database, maintaining accurate records of donor interactions and preferences.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate acknowledgment of all donations.
  • Manage donor recognition programs, including annual reports, donor walls, and other forms of recognition.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather stories and data that demonstrate the impact of donor contributions.
  • Support communication across teams (Executive Leadership, Compliance, Programs, Finance) to maintain healthy donor relationships and ensure donor expectations are exceeded.

Event Management:

  • Plan and execute a variety of fundraising and cultivation events, including galas, receptions, house parties, and volunteer appreciation events.
  • Manage all event logistics, including venue selection, catering, invitations, registration, and day-of coordination.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications staff to promote events and maximize attendance.
  • Develop and execute convening strategies to raise awareness and cultivate new donors. This includes:

o Identifying and securing opportunities for Xiente to present at external events (conferences, convenings, talks).

o Hosting events that engage and cultivate new donors.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist with donor research and prospect identification.
  • Support the development team with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Stay informed about best practices in donor stewardship and event management.

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in donor relations, stewardship, and/or event management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with donor database management and event planning software.
  • Passion for Xiente's mission and commitment to social justice and economic equity.
