The AbbVie Digital Lab is transforming marketing at AbbVie, accelerating smarter healthcare, with a mission to transform the way we drive impact by designing and delivering the best insight-driven customer experiences.

The Digital Lab Omnichannel Strategy Brand Manager serves as the empowered strategic interface between brand team(s) and the Digital Lab. Sitting within the Omnichannel Strategy team of the Digital Lab, this role functions as a fully integrated member of the brand marketing team. They serve as the representative of the Lab embedded with the brand, and voice of the brand to the rest of the Digital Lab. This role will partner closely with the Brand teams (i.e., Brand Associate Directors and Managers) to ensure the Digital Lab is embedded and executes aligned within the brand in the Oncology Therapeutic Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to develop and maintain omnichannel and digital marketing strategies (Omnichannel Blueprints) aligned to the strategic imperatives of the Brand. (with much more autonomy.)
  • Strategically Lead and Manage cross-functional working teams to drive omnichannel marketing aligned to the overarching blueprints of the brand. Key teams like Brand Pods and/or Innovation Pods.
  • Support overall Digital Lab Engagement to brand leadership, ensuring that Digital Lab efforts are aligned to brand priorities and executed to ultimately exceed the expectations of our colleagues.
    • Implements the application of Strategic Lab Capabilities into the Brand, pursuant to the vision aligned at the BU and Franchise levels. (starts to lead the development of these shared goals.)
    • Represents the Digital Lab and digital transformation vision in Brand-level venues like extended IBTs and Brand Staff.
    • Supports Digital Lab Business Reviews/Updates to Brand Leadership. (may lead/own some of these updates without oversight.)
  • Serve as brand steward to the rest of the Digital Lab, providing deep brand strategy knowledge, expertise, and leadership.
    • Supports Brand perspective within Digital Lab Execution & Operations Reviews Updates for cross-Lab alignment. (will do this wider and with more autonomy.)
  • Executes aligned and coordinated priorities cross-functional partners dedicated to that brand (e.g., MABI, BTS, Performance Operations, etc.). (drives the develop of these aligned priorities as well.)
  • Drives key AbbVie Digital Transformation imperatives within the brand. (co-leads 1-7-5 Anchor 7 development from the Digital Lab perspective.)
  • Lead cross-functional working teams to drive omnichannel marketing aligned to the overarching blueprints of the brands. Key teams like Brand Pods.

Qualifications
  • Autonomy. Ability to execute all responsibilities above with less oversight from their Manager (Omnichannel Brand / Franchise Leads).
  • Account Management skills. The ability to represent and lead multiple teams within a broad digital marketing center of excellence.
  • Communication skills. The ability to convey simple and effective stories around strategies, tactics, results, and data.
    • Interfacing more with Brand AD’s and Directors day-to-day, and laddering up to high executives as needed.
  • Program Management skills. The ability to oversee and drive a portfolio of projects and initiatives across multiple functions.
  • Core Marketing skills. The ability to understand brand strategies and tactical plans.
  • Digital Marketing skills. Demonstrated experience with digital / multichannel / omnichannel marketing, including: websites, email, social media, mobile media, search, display, etc. Including measurement and optimization of these programs and tactics.
  • Preferably within Pharma, agency, or brand.
  • BA/BS in Business or Marketing, MBA preferred. Or comparable experience with other degrees. 6-8+ years of experience preferred.
