QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), at least 3 years of management experience, 5 years in corporate sales or fundraising, proven success in business development, and outstanding communication skills.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Manager of Corporate Giving at KidSmart will lead corporate fundraising efforts, execute a strategic business development plan, and cultivate partnerships to empower children in need across Missouri.
The Position:
KidSmart’s Manager of Corporate Giving has the confidence, knowledge, and successful sales results to lead and execute the organization’s corporate fundraising and philanthropy efforts. KidSmart is a solid and well-positioned community-based not-for-profit ready to grow across the State of Missouri in 2025. The organization is looking for a unique leader who is well-prepared to provide inspired external and internal leadership; an “A-player” who is driven to meet the goals of the organization and this role. This is a key leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with a drive for results, while also being a capable manager and accomplished fundraiser or salesperson who can close and grow annual corporate financial partnerships.
The Manager of Corporate Giving is responsible for successfully executing an annual “Corporate Sales and Business Development Plan,” with detailed goals and initiatives for a diverse and integrated corporate philanthropy program. This includes annual corporate giving campaigns, employee and corporate event sponsorships and working closely with the Director of Foundation Giving to identify and secure corporate foundation gifts and community partnerships.
The Manager of Corporate Giving will work closely with the VP of Philanthropy, the KidSmart development team and the VP of Operations, to grow the capacity of KidSmart’s corporate philanthropic partnerships. This also includes working with KidSmart’s communication and creative design partners on the development and implementation of e-philanthropy and social media initiatives, as related to corporate giving.
Key Responsibilities:
The Manager of Corporate Giving will successfully meet the organization’s annual corporate giving revenue budget and corporate business development goals which include, but are not limited to:
1. Lead and successfully execute an annual strategic corporate “sales,” marketing, business development plan to grow annual corporate revenue and meet budget requirements.
2. Increase annual corporate revenue and partnerships through, special event sponsorships, mission immersion partnerships, key third-party events, online employee giving opportunities, matching gifts & campaign-based fundraising.
3. Increase annual corporate grant revenue in partnership with the KidSmart grant team by finding new opportunities and maintaining current partnerships.
4. Maintain a high level of engaging and meaningful stewardship through regular marketing and “sales” initiatives, communication, outreach, appreciation, and relationship building.
5. Work closely with KidSmart’s communications and creative design partners to develop compelling and creative approaches and collateral to maximize capacity for corporate fundraising and partnership opportunities.
6. Work with KidSmart leadership (staff, board, and board committee) to develop and support a culture of giving, growth, and philanthropy.
7. Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates for this position will share a commitment to and passion for KidSmart’s mission—empowering kids in need to succeed in school by providing free essential tools for learning—as well as an entrepreneurial spirit, and a strategic, organized and results-driven mindset. They will bring management-level sales, strategy and marketing experience, and attributes, including:
1. At least three (3) years of management experience: leadership, strategy, supervision of staff, and proven success in business development, relationship building, and closing sales.
2. At least five (5) years of experience in corporate sales or fundraising.
3. Demonstrated track record of organizing and executing successfully closing sales or fundraising plans/activities and meeting/exceeding all sales goals.
4. A successful track record in maintaining and securing new corporate gifts/accounts.
5. Demonstrated success in follow up and building relationships within various levels of a business.
6. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, including presentations in one-on-one and group settings.
7. Bachelor’s degree with advanced degree favorable.
8. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media, donor database, and customer/sales management systems
9. An entrepreneurial spirit and high level of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
Compensation:
- Competitive base compensation of $65,000 - $80,000 dependent on experience, with an opportunity for incentive compensation, for exceeding goals.
