Job Summary

Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of large, multi-disciplinary web and digital marketing technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinates with various teams including CX, CRM, web development, marketing, and communications to ensure alignment and effective resource utilization.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Allocates and manages project resources efficiently, balancing workload across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Identifies potential project risks and develops mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Ensures that all deliverables meet the required standards of quality before they are delivered to stakeholders.
- Maintains comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, timelines, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Tracks and manages project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Evaluates and improves project management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversees and manages relationships with external vendors, ensuring that their deliverables align with project requirements.
- Guides cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority by clearly articulating needs, setting expectations, and ensuring alignment to achieve shared goals.
General Responsibilities
- Leads planning and implementation of complex IT projects involving university staff from different teams and external partners on interrelated project tasks.
- Designs, creates, executes, and manages advanced project work plans and work-flow documents; establishes project timelines and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manages budget and monitors progress of projects at highest levels to ensure that quality and cost constraints are met.
- Reports and documents project milestones to share with leaders, stakeholders, and/or project partners.
- Makes recommendations to leadership to improve project management approaches and processes.
- Researches and stays up-to-date with IT project management best practices, approaches, and trends.
- Creates and fosters relationships with key project stakeholders and service owners to ensure functional user expectations and requirements are articulated and integrated.
- Often provides guidance and support to less experienced peers.

EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree in related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 5 years technical project management experience
Preferred
- 2 years of experience managing large-scale, enterprise web projects and digital marketing technology implementations
- Experience in higher education

- Exceptional organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environemnt simultaneously
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including CX, CRM systems, CMS platforms, email marketing, and SMS tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional/multi-disciplinary teams and drive projects to successful completion
- Experience managing project budgets and resources effectively
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
