Overview:

We are seeking a courageous individual who will challenge the status quo in our relentless pursuit of excellence in shopper marketing, delivering strong programs based on shopper insights and aligned with our retailer’s identified needs. This individual should showcase an understanding of the omni-channel landscape, with the ability to seamlessly integrate this into relevant executions. They should also demonstrate an ability to think outside of normal paradigms to achieve positive outcomes against mutually agreed KPIs. The successful candidate will lead the Shopper & Customer Marketing plan creation, execution and budget management for a defined set of channels and Brands, working closely with our sales, marketing, finance, category management and sales strategy functions to deliver superior solutions that surpass the expectations of our retail partners, surprise and delight target shoppers and ultimately influence their purchasing behavior.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Shopper & Customer Marketing, you will be enthusiastic, driven, and highly collaborative and able to develop relevant and engaging solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will also have a strong role in helping to advance our department, challenging current business processes and providing insight and recommendations that will propel us towards our vision of becoming best in class.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement multi-touchpoint shopper marketing initiatives and campaigns based on shopper insight and strong understanding of retailer strategy across focus customer set.
  • Coordinate & implement the planning, financial approval, creative approval & execution of promo VAS across internal & external stakeholders. Partner with supply chain to ensure in-full on-time delivery
  • Complete planning for focus customers, pulling all retailer activations together in one cohesive omni channel drive plan: In-Store promotions and displays, Sampling, Events, Digital, Couponing. Collaborates with E-Com team to build integrated omni-channel plans, where applicable
  • Build expertise in executional excellence, with understanding of BIC competition across relevant categories, emerging trends, and what it takes to Win in Store.
  • Gain alignment & approval on activation plans with key internal stakeholders across finance, brand, sales, sales strategy, legal & regulatory
  • Manage day-to-day operations with agency teams for all shopper conversion programs & with elevated creative to engage shoppers along the omni path to purchase
  • Responsible for tracking & reconciling budgets along with vendor contracts
  • Embrace results driven approach by supporting post program analyses to drive future planning & short-term pivots as needed to achieve sales results
  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales, Customer Insights, Procurement, Finance, Brand Marketing, Ecom/iCom, and external partners to ensure cross-functional achievement of company goals


Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience with shopper and customer marketing (prefer fast-paced consumer packaged goods experience)
  • Experience working with national retailer teams (e.g., category managers, merchants, marketing managers, insight managers, etc.) Multi-channel experience preferred
  • Experience managing or working with marketing agencies
  • Self-starter and highly organized
  • Strong analytical skills and business insight
  • High digital awareness and proficiency in office productivity software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to influence and secure cross functional support
  • Ability to think strategically to ensure programs are in alignment with brand and customer strategies
  • Ability to interpret and carry out shopper communication objectives to ensure reason-to-buy is readily apparent on finished deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet customer deadlines
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across many functions and external partners
