Responsibilities
Under indirect supervision the incumbent is responsible for assisting the President in the development and coordination of a fund development program, which will attract maximum support from external and internal sources. The incumbent participates in coordinating and implementing the annual giving, major giving, and communication programs for Mercy Foundation North. This position reports to the President Mercy Foundation North. The incumbent may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers, point of sale devices, applications supporting credit card applications, and reports or other documents containing credit card information) and will ensure that appropriate organizational procedures are followed. Qualifications Requirements:* Three years recent experience in fund development identifying, cultivating and soliciting donor prospects with a proven track record of securing gifts most importantly, major gifts. The employer may consider candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education in lieu of the three (3) years recent experience in fund development identifying, cultivating and soliciting donor prospects with a proven track record of securing gifts, most importantly, major gifts. * Strong verbal and written communication skills required * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
Education:* Bachelors degree in a related field required (experience may be accepted in lieu of degree)
Preferred:* Five years or more in fund development, preferably in a health care setting. At least two years experience of securing major gifts ranging from $10,000 to $500,000. * Exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills. High energy, creativity and an ability to inspire performance and commitment to goals from key volunteers. Ability to quickly assess the philanthropic community, identify and cultivate new sources of support for the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. * Experience in relationship management donor tracking software. Specialized training in fund development.
Pay Range
$42.82 - $62.09 /hour
