QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, 10+ years of experience in venture lending/structuring, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Lead the Venture Banking team, establish and maintain relationships with venture capital backed companies, manage a portfolio of clients, oversee deal processes, recruit and lead a team, and collaborate on product development.

- Establish and maintain relationships with venture capital backed founders and executives, as well as, with investors and industry advisors to drive deal flow and meet business objectives.
- Active in market at industry events and building the Stifel Venture Banking brand.
- Responsibility for team’s deal processes, including structuring, loan underwriting, loan documentation and the loan closing process.
- Responsibility for a portfolio of venture backed clients, which includes ongoing portfolio management responsibilities and effectively deploying Stifel platform resources to support clients.
- Effectively recruit, manage, and lead a team of venture banking professionals.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the venture capital industry and Stifel’s products and services. Collaborate with the leadership team of the bank to develop new products and best position the Stifel platform in market.
- Develop strong understanding of broader Stifel platform (including Investment Bank, Wealth Management, etc.) and identify and drive opportunities across the platform.

- Advanced knowledge in venture lending/structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- Strong team leadership skills to help coach, develop and retain team members.
- Effectively communicate (written and oral) with clients, prospects, and executive management.
- Understanding and interest in technology trends, key metrics, and capital markets impacting the innovation ecosystem.
- Strong business acumen with ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
