Creative writing and copywriting experience, proficiency in Photoshop, knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress, Constant Contact, and Google Analytics, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and superior customer service abilities are also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in developing marketing strategies, design marketing materials, manage media schedules, coordinate email communications, maintain web analytics and website content, manage event schedules, oversee social media marketing, and perform other assigned tasks.

Borton Overseas is a tour operator specializing in travel to Africa, Scandinavia, SE Asia, Latin America, and Antarctica. We work with travel agents and clients from all over the country.

Job Summary:The Borton Overseas’ Marketing and Communications Specialist job includes driving the marketing and sales of the travel products that Borton Overseas offers. This is accomplished by using a variety of media vehicles such as advertising, social media, digital and email marketing, and direct marketing. In addition, the person in this position handles a variety of administrative tasks, including supporting client meetings and presentation creation.

Responsibilities Included:

  • Assist in developing marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Design of ads, flyers and other marketing pieces with content development.
  • Manage media schedule.
  • Coordinate e-Newsletters and e-Blasts using Constant Contact.
  • Maintain and report web analytics.
  • Maintain and update website content in WordPress.
  • Manage tradeshows and events schedule and associated pre and post activities.
  • Manage social media marketing.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Creative writing and copywriting experience.
  • Photoshop software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress, Constant Contact and Google Analytics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Travel industry promotional experience.

Job Type: Part-time, 10-20 hours per week.
