The Marketing and Communications Coordinator role is an entry-level position focused on supporting marketing initiatives within Evergreen Goodwill, aimed at empowering individuals through effective communication and community engagement.

Job Title: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Salary Range: $50,000 – 60,000
About the Position
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is an entry-level position within Evergreen Goodwill’s Marketing & Communications team. This role provides essential support to the department, ensuring the efficient execution of marketing initiatives and contributing to the EGNW’s mission of empowering individuals and communities. This position is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in marketing and communications within a dynamic nonprofit environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Marketing Campaign Support & Project Coordination:
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Managers to support the planning and execution of advertising campaigns and marketing projects. Tasks may include building out project schedules, researching estimated costs, coordinating with vendors, invoice processing, document organization and scheduling meetings.
- Conduct basic market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities that can inform marketing strategies.
- Oversee organization and tracking of essential content assets such as photo release forms, content folders, influencer contracts, and other related materials.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing events, and community engagement activities. This may involve logistics coordination, materials preparation, and on-site assistance.
- Gather and organize data for campaign analysis and reporting purposes.
- Support the creation of content for Evergreen Goodwill’s owned marketing channels including coming up with fresh ideas and helping capture video and photos for Evergreen Goodwill’s social channels, blog, e-newsletter etc.
- Maintain and organize the photo and video library, ensuring proper tagging, storage, and accessibility for team use.
- Update and monitor Evergreen Goodwill's digital platforms including website, Google business, Yelp, social media pages etc.
- Assist Digital Brand Manager in scheduling social posts, customer SMS messages, and digital signage.
- Monitor and coordinate the response to comments and inquiries on social media channels and other online platforms.
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team, including processing invoices, placing orders, coordinating schedules, and organizing files.
- Assist with team calendar management, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials for presentations or team discussions.
- Maintain organized records of team documentation and ensure accessibility to relevant files for efficient team operations.
- Demonstrate commitment to advancing Evergreen Goodwill’s mission and values in brand communications and interactions with staff and community partners.
- Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; some college coursework in Marketing, Communications, business or related field is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts.
- A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a strong team player mindset.
- Previous experience in an administrative or marketing support role is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency level of intermediateknowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Database experience a plus.
- Basic understanding of Social Media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Any experience with Google Analytics, Sprout, Wrike and Adobe Creative Cloud suite a plus
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required sit for long periods of time, communicate with other employees by talking and hearing, required to lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds and to operate computer systems. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.
