SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will execute strategic marketing and communications plans for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY, ensuring engagement and alignment with organizational goals.
Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a dynamic, creative, versatile, self-starting professional who is responsible for implementing strategic marketing plans and internal and external communications for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of WNY (RMHC of WNY) and works closely with the leadership team to develop and manage the plan.
Essential Functions
- Implements Marketing and Communications Strategy, which includes digital marketing, print communications, and social media strategies.
- Provides feedback and reports benchmarks related to the marketing and communications plan.
- Generates content for print and digital advertisements such as news articles, magazine articles, press releases, flyers, postcards, photography/videography, event collateral and promotional items among other communications pieces.
- Creates, posts, and monitors content on RMHC of WNY social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, ensuring the content is in alignment with the strategy and mission of RMHC of WNY.
- Upholds brand standards set forth by RMHC Global, as well as RMHC of WNY.
- Creates, manages, and updates content for the RMHC of WNY website and event landing pages.
- Develops relationships alongside Director of Development with all media to promote RMHC of WNY.
- Assists in email marketing campaigns and event support, from design to post-campaign evaluation.
- Develop multimedia content for presentations.
- Responsible for assisting with communications for RMHC of WNY events.
- Fulfills sponsor requirements and assists with communications to all constituents.
- Interacts with courtesy, professionalism, and respect to guests, volunteers, vendors, and staff consistent with RMHC of WNY’s mission and core values.
- Assists with special events as needed.
- Other duties as directed by the Director of Development and/or Executive Director.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or related field AND/OR
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications.

- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and must be sensitive to the needs of the families RMHC serves.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Wordpress, and Constant Contact.
- Must be a seasoned, experienced marketer/communicator with a proven track record.
- Must be a strategic thinker and able to implement tactically.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be able to meet deadlines, deliver on expectations, and be able to manage multiples tasks/projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Must be able to sit at a desk and computer monitor for moderate periods of time. Speech and hearing sufficient for constant telephone and in-person communications. Regularly required to lift, carry, walk, sit, and stand. May lift up to 25lbs unaided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,500.00 - $62,500.00 per year
