QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field; proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools; familiarity with email marketing tools and website content management systems; creative thinker with strong attention to detail; interest in nonprofit work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in marketing campaign development, design and update marketing materials, manage social media content, produce e-newsletters, update website content, write and edit various communications, participate in photography, support fundraising event promotion, and conduct research on marketing opportunities.

Seeking a motivated Marketing and Communications Intern/Volunteer to support marketing and development efforts, while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing.
Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Communications Intern/Volunteer to support our marketing and development efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing while contributing to meaningful work that makes lives better.
Location: 800 McKnight Park Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15237 (option for remote work possible)
Hours: Flexible depending on your schedule/how many hours you may need for academic credit
ABOUT US:
Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health services and educational support to community members and families of all backgrounds. Our approach integrates emotional, relational, and spiritual healing with a focus on building stronger families and healthier communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to promote Anchorpoint’s services and events
- Design and update marketing materials, including flyers, event promotions, e-newsletters, and more
- Help create, schedule, and manage social media content
- Support the production and distribution of e-newsletters and e-blasts through Constant Contact
- Update and maintain Anchorpoint’s website content on WordPress as needed
- Assist in writing and editing content for blogs, newsletters, and appeals
- Participate in basic photography for events and programs
- Support the planning and promotion of fundraising events, such as the annual gala and golf classic
- Conduct research on new marketing and funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
- Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
- Familiarity with email marketing tools and website content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Interest in nonprofit work and a passion for helping people in the community
