POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for working within an established, overarching marketing strategy to enhance and execute marketing and communications plans to drive awareness, engagement, and enrollment of children and youth into our Y Youth Development programs, and promote active participation in Y membership to enrolled families. This includes Y Preschool, Head Start/Early Head Start, Camp, and Before & After School Enrichment.

The associate in this role will be the "go-to" person for internal clients operating our Youth Development programs and will work with the VP, Marketing to develop efficient, effective and creative marketing and communications plans. This role will work collaboratively within a fun and creative Marketing Team and other internal and external resources to execute plans. The impact of this work will improve the lives of children, youth and families throughout the region who will be exposed to positive, healthy Y programs that help them grow and develop into good humans!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop, execute, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns that align with business objectives and target audiences.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics, analyze results, and optimize strategies to ensure the achievement of KPIs.
  • Oversee end-to-end project workflows, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce engaging and impactful content for various platforms, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with target audiences.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry developments, marketing tools, and emerging technologies to inform strategies.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal clients, ensuring their needs and objectives are clearly understood and addressed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Foster collaboration among creative teams to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Guide the creative process, providing constructive feedback and ensuring alignment with campaign goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or a related area
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 1 year of advertising agency or product marketing experience in a consumer-driven organization
  • Familiar with fundamental tools of marketing including email marketing, digital, radio, TV, out-of-home, print
  • Proven experience with writing and content development
  • Ability to respond to and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing market
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration while also having the initiative to work independently and proactively in a demanding and high-volume environment
  • Experience working with creative people and comfort with the creative process
  • Innovative and detail-oriented self-starter
SKILLS
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
