Marketing & Communications Specialist (Full-Time)

JOB SUMMARY:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) is seeking a dynamic, creative, and mission-driven Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, this hybrid role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and offers an exciting opportunity to amplify the voice of BBBSMA and engage our community through innovative marketing strategies.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for storytelling, strong technical skills in social media and design, and a commitment to helping us connect with new audiences to support youth mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Content Creation: Develop engaging, high-quality content tailored for various platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Create videos using tools like iMovie, Adobe Express, Canva, CapCut, and Instagram Reels.
  • Social Media Strategy & Management: Build and maintain a social media content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant posts that align with campaign goals and organizational events.
  • Graphic Design: Design visually compelling graphics using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for digital campaigns, social media, email marketing, and print collateral.
  • Video Editing: Produce and edit video content for social media and other platforms, showcasing impactful stories and events to inspire community engagement.
  • Event Support: Collaborate with the team to create promotional materials for events, ensuring consistency with BBBSMA’s brand and mission.
  • Digital Marketing Analytics: Assist with creating and analyzing marketing campaigns (within Meta, Sprout Social, Google Analytics) to drive engagement and measure success.
  • Performance Tracking: Compile data and performance metrics for social media, web traffic, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Content Marketing: Implement content marketing best practices to enhance BBBSMA’s digital presence and support program goals.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general support to agency departments in Fund Development and Programs

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in marketing/communications. Experience with social media content creation, graphic design, and video editing is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and video editing tools (CapCut, TikTok, or similar, experience with Adobe Premiere is a plus).
  • Social Media Expertise: Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content strategies.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for visual storytelling.
  • Passion for Nonprofit Work: Strong connection to the mission of BBBS and an interest in nonprofit marketing and youth mentoring.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Familiarity with analytics tools and the ability to track and interpret data to improve marketing strategies.
