The Marketing and Membership Director will drive membership sales and promote a positive image of Standard Club through strategic marketing initiatives and exceptional member service.

Overview
Standard Club is seeking a membership professional to lead its recruitment and retention efforts. The Marketing and Membership Director is an integral part of the management team as they are responsible for development and implementation of marketing strategies, programs designed to increase membership sales and the promotion of a positive image of the Club. The director is responsible for managing Standard Club's brand both internally and externally. They will also be highly visible with the membership in order to ensure member satisfaction, uncover opportunities for potential members and access club culture for appropriate event programming. The Membership Director must perform all duties with a focus on exceptional member/guest service with great attention to detail and sensitivity for confidential material.

Responsibilities

Yearly

  • Construct a budget for approval
  • Use approved budget to design marketing campaign for the next year.
  • Execute marketing campaign
  • Input all golf and pool events into calendar on Square Space.
  • Put together dates and themes for pool parties use budget to decide on entertainment.
  • Make business cards (make sure you have enough for the year about 500)

Monthly

  • Prepare and present a membership report for the board meetings.
  • Produce and Print Marketing Materials (make sure office and golf shop is stocked with folders).
  • Update monthly goals on our yearly reports keeping track of monthly changes.
  • Update membership files (Birthdays, Terminations, etc).
  • Check website is up to date and working well.
  • Design Newsletter, proofread, and send out monthly.
  • Resignations:

Print off email from resigning member

Put one copy in member file and one copy in file folder under month of leaving.

Add name to the next month's resignation sheet in the file folder in accounting.

Delete resigned member contacts from all email data bases.

Add resigning member to resigning excel doc.

Seasonal

  • Change information in all marketing materials to reflect current programs and prices.
  • Have meeting with Marketing and Membership Committee to talk about membership statistics, upcoming promotions and events, and new marketing materials (Postcards, ads).
  • Play an integral part in providing an excellent member experience at the pool by managing the pool snack bar staff.

Weekly

  • Book out social media posts for the week. Keep posts engaging.
  • Use Adobe Illustrator to design new items for Facebook and golf carts. Golf cart dimensions 8.5 x 5.5 inches, use 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and divide in 2.
  • Keep and Organize lists of members.
  • Keep track of new member FDB (first dues billed) dates. Let the bookkeeper know any people coming off of a program or change of membership classification.
  • Keep list of resignations, new members, members on 100%, age out, members on medical leave.
  • Send Exit survey to resigned members. Put data together for the monthly or yearly report.

Day to Day

  • Post to social media sites as you deem necessary.
  • Check and respond to emails and voicemail messages.
  • Mingle with members.
  • Process new member paperwork- assign new member number to new member, put information into Jonas, sign-up member to constant contact, email new member their member number, golf rules, and welcome letter. Give completed paperwork to bookkeeper for processing of 10% down and putting payment information into the system.
  • (During pool season) Print out daily sign-in sheet. Make sure it is up to date with all new members. Preprint on Friday for weekend sign ins.
  • Add any new pool members to the sign-in sheet.
  • Design and display pool signage and napkin signs for upcoming events.
  • Walk around and talk with pool members.
  • Make sure pool has enough guest cards for the day.
  • Put together ideas and dates for club pool parties.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in marketing and membership management
  • Strong skills in SEO, social media marketing, and multichannel marketing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and content marketing
  • Experience in performance marketing and e-commerce platforms
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools and techniques
  • Ability to analyze data using Microsoft Excel and conduct research
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
